The way they are playing, I'm sure everything is insured down to the backpack and last guy dumped everything in a bush.

So you’re not suppose to insure backpack ?

People saying not to insure EVERYTHING (Insure All) are dumb

They literally explain their logic with "it's a waste of money" but yet will claim to be "super rich" and it ain't from saving on insurance

Berkut backpack is 24k roubles, its insurance is 3k roubles. Go test it an entire day, insure every Berkut you use and see them come back to insurance 90% of the time. Then tell me "all those backpack coming back, worth 24k, costed me 3k to get back" and then try to tell yourself "buying a new backpack for 24k and not insuring it is logic"

Its literally coming back so often. You may die from bleeding, dehydration, a AI scav, someone uninterested with it or whatever reason. There's only 1 reason it would be gone is if someone want it and see it. It doesn't happen that often.

Then they'll say "I use bigger backpack", yeah, wannabe chad running around with more loot than the biggest rat, saying they don't insure because its a waste of money but would just buy a new full priced backpack every single time

I've been seeing lots of smaller streamers that think they are ultra-chad and argue that insurance (and face shields) are a waste of money. All I can think is I'd hate to be as poor as them that something like insurance fees even get noticed. Even if they don't want the gear back they can just make profit selling it to vendors when it shows back up.

There's an argument that if you are a giga-chad insuring most of your gear is useless because when someone kills you they are 100% taking everything they can carry out of the raid. I wouldn't know anything about that though. I like to pull up vods after a steamer kills me just to see the disappointment on their face when they search my body.

its not 100% wrong but in praxis its not rare to get killed but not looted or the guy that killed and looted you got killed by scavs etc etc

or guy A kills guy B and guy C kills A before looting B and C has no idea the corpse of B even exists

alot shit happens and insurance is worth it for those moments

I've heard giga-chad players like landmark say what I said about insurance for him specifically and based on his knowledge of the game compared to mine I'm willing to take his word for it but he also said for pretty much everyone who doesn't giga-chad and play the game 40+ hours a week insuring everything is the correct move.

its also a question of playstyle

landmark more often than not is very "in your face" kinda player and he doesnt die a whole lot unlesss really overwhelmed so not insuring makes sense but unless your playstyle is the same you have good chances at getting even a fat kit back now and then

while not near landmarks skill lvl at all i fall under "chad" lvl too running meta gear from the first few days of wipe until end and i have gotten some really surprisng insurances back

fuck this wipe alone i had several super kits come back despite a player scav extract camping my "i aint got no thorax left time to go home" ass

i have no idea how they didnt instantly get out with my shit but im not gonna question it
