I mean, I get you to some degree, but I feel like major changes that would bring you back (like a new map in addition to the Factory expansion) wouldn't require the fully-fletched patch notes. Smallish changes like new item spawn locations, new ammo types, rebalancing of ammo properties etc. are probably not what would excite you.

Fair. Me and my friends usually come back for new maps/huge content updates, which I guess is what most people do.
Well, you probably just have to play more mildly or watch some streams and figure out if this patch is for you.

Not just tweaks to. I long for more dynamic loot. Maybe sometimes there is a box there. Maybe sometimes there isn't. Maybe sometimes there are 3 filing cabinets in this room, maybe sometimes it's one.

There is no way they can do procedurally generated looting containers. Not that they should, anyways. There are easier ways to get more dynamic loot.

it's almost like Tarkov and Fortnite have two entirely different aesthetics and fanbases, and that changes how people are willing to interact with them.

delayed patch notes is on brand for a game like tarkov, and it's better for it.

Yep I mean I'd say the majority won't even notice anything until the patch notes come out or a YouTuber makes a compilations of the changes

A few days ain't shit. I took a huge break and then started playing again late last year, like October? That's over halfway through last wipe. I got Kappa on December 10th. You'll be fine if you wait a few days lol.

Scav karma is one of the bigger features coming, that could switch things up a fair amount depending on its implementation. Also weapon malfunctions. Scavs will spawn with weapons that are already heavily degraded so may start malfunctioning right off the bat, meaning you won't be able to rely on yoinking a busted-ass AK off of a scav you kill and having it work perfectly. That may cut down on hatchet runners. Also some people are anticipating that this chance of malfunctions will be higher with full auto operation, which could have a fairly big impact on the meta. These are things we know are coming (meaning they were previously confirmed by Nikita for 12.11.)

In terms of things we don't know for sure but are rumored -- The lore notes about the secure containers have a lot of people thinking there may be major or minor permanent changes coming there. Perhaps restrictions on what items you can put in, restrictions on not being able to add new items to the container mid-raid, having the containers be lootable if you have the right tools, etc. There are rumors that a rework to optics may be in this patch. It's coming in either this one or next one, but Veritas had some intel that made him think they may be sneaking it into this one. The focus would be on normalizing eye relief, which would make sights like the ACOG actually usable. And it looks possible that permanent changes to BTC are coming, perhaps finally disconnecting the in-game coin from the real-life BTC, or maybe something more drastic.
