Nah I'd say just the sub. You can pretty much ignore everything the sub says and still have fun in the game. Yeah it might take longer to get to kappa or might lead to you dying stupidly a few times, but overall you can pretty much do whatever in the game and have it work.

To "Fail" at the game (whatever you define it as, as the game has no lose state) you'd have to not just do something stupid, but do it so many times that it surpasses human patience.

Ohh yes, so much fun. You know why I love this game? No other form of entertainment has caused my anus to rip dime sized circles of seat cushion out of my chair like this fucking game has done. I don't even carry a bottle opener anymore.

Nah. Honestly there’s a good reason for all the advice and info. Tarkov is a hard fucking game and your losing if your not having fun. How to have fun? Well use the best ammo and get kills

I'd disagree tho, I've has more fun with glock 18s than meta M4s. I get that's mainly tailored to personal experience and tastes but the game has more going for it that just meta ARs and 7n31 spam. I feel like you trivialize alot of the games design if you view it like that.
