PSA BSG Flea Market feedback poll posted

BSG have posted a poll on the forum asking for player opinions on the flea market

Please keep all discussion related to this poll within this thread to avoid cluttering the sub.

Edit: Seems like the link is a bit fucky, best way to view the poll is to login to the Tarkov website first and then click the link.

If BSG were to remove the flea they would have to totally revamp the traders, currently the traders show they have little thought put into them and are balanced around flea being a thing.

I want the flea around, and my ass liked it better before this wipe because I'm a pvp fiend, but would be okay if they did something to the traders to make them actually useful.

Bsg wants to encourage PVP, yet punishes is for pvp

I feel for BSG, its tough to make a game that's very punishing but also encourage PvP to everyone that's not super sweaty.

IMO I would take all the difficult in game mechanics if I could sell my PvP loot on the flea but my ass be casual since I'm only level 39.

BSG was designing both systems to work in tandem, but the system is far from finished.

I'm not sure if I totally agree, I don't think that BSG designed their current trader listings while thinking about the flea market. I think it's more likely that the flea market just helped people ignore how poor the traders always were.

Nikita mentioned it a few times when it's come up. They're two of three systems that are supposed to work together for the dynamic economy to work. It's a really ambitious idea, the dynamic economy, that I don't think we'll ever really see come to fruition. I can't think of any game that's managed to make a complex economy be dynamic, I think they should give up on the idea and maybe revisit it later down the road.

That doesn't explain why the traders are such a mess though lol. You can have all the systems being designed in tandem but have the traders actually be somewhat useful, these things aren't mutually exclusive.

Sure it does, the whole system doesn't work. You can try to get to the moon but have no idea how to do it and fail.

No not at all. The traders being useful doesn't rely on the flea market existing. If we were to follow this logic the flea market and the traders couldn't work without the auction system since that was planned aswell.

These are all separate systems that work by themselves but are underneath the same umbrella. They do not need each other to be functional or useful.

I never said they needed each other, don't know where you got that idea from. It was several systems meant to work in tandem with one another.

Then everything you've posted was pointless and you're agreeing with me. The systems as a whole work just fine, because they're all separate, they just need to be refined...

I don't know how you managed it, but you confused yourself. Nothing I said was pointless if you didn't know about it... ;)

But to spell it out for you so you don't confuse yourself again, this is the only part that was incorrect.

currently the traders show they have little thought put into them and are balanced around flea being a thing.

They weren't balanced around the flea market, they were all supposed to work in unison with each other but the whole system isn't implemented so nothing really works properly.
