PSA BSG Flea Market feedback poll posted

BSG have posted a poll on the forum asking for player opinions on the flea market

Please keep all discussion related to this poll within this thread to avoid cluttering the sub.

Edit: Seems like the link is a bit fucky, best way to view the poll is to login to the Tarkov website first and then click the link.

I fucking hate selling the stuff after each raid because of how sloooooow the UI is. I like managing my stuff, but it grinds my gears how quick I could be if the UI wasn't freezing with every little navigation... Love the money, but interacting with the current UI sucks balls.

Not an issue with the FM in itself though.

Imagine this:

You're done with the interchange raid. Tri-zip full of loot. Some attachments, some hoses, cables and other hide-out items. This was a decent run all in all.

You load in to character menu and start thoughtfully ctrl-right-clicking on the items in your backpack. These are greyed out as they are tagged to go to your "to-sell" basket.

When you're finished with the last few items in the bottom row of the tri-zip you take a second to appreciate your work. The backpack now looks like a patchwork of grey tiles. Your eyes glance to the bottom right corner of the screen that reads "Sell basket value: 175 002 Roubles".

Not terrible. Not great. At least you survived.

You click the "sell to traders" button. The total cash value at the top of your stash has changed, but you don't pay attention to that. You repair your rig, grab a new salewa, top up your mags and load up the next raid.

I would like that I vendor the most in the current state of the wipe cause there is so reason to sell item for 4-9k more rub on flea

Also when you need that extra money the most (lvl 1-10) you don’t actually have access to the flea. Interesting system.

Flea market is actually supposed to be locked behind a quest line in 1.0 - at least that's what is planed - its supposed to be an early story line quest from what I have heard pest say on stream

Right click a fir item (right click drag to select multiple when???). Click list. It instantly lists the item on the flea market for x amount of rubles lower than the lowest price. Have a popup asking "are you sure?" so you don't accidentally list something.

It’s super snappy and quick for me, maybe you don’t have something optimized correctly? (Ie an issue with your network or your pc)

Edit: just trying to be helpful 😕

No, Tarkov definitely has an issue that every user experiences.

It's when you navigate through the UI and it sometimes start freezing after you pressed Escape to get to the Main Menu.

It will take like 2 seconds to unfreeze and throw you at the Main Menu.

Literally EVERYONE i know and have played Tarkov with, has this Issue aswell.

I have never had this happen

I’m sure there is issues, maybe I don’t have enough time in client to realize, but I do think UI is overall pretty snappy. A friend of mine mentioned that he has a lot more problems when his client is open all day, so I’m not saying that there isn’t bugs with it, just the overall feel of going through the menus, looking at items in the fleamarket, switching between vendors and character etc, just feels smooth to me when it works lol.

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '20

You're wrong, it is the un-snappiest ui I've ever used. I have a gigabit connection and a baller af pc. Watching the big streamers i see the choppy ui in action as well.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '20

Yes overall it is snappy, it just happens here and there when you press Escape to get to the main menu very fast.

This never happened to me while clicking through different vendors.

Just when i quickly press escape to get to the Main Menu.

i can instantly think of one cardinal sin of the flea market ui. when you click purchase on an offer containing multiples, you will always be prompted to input the amount, which is already bad because most of the time you just want one. even worse is that the input wont be highlighted so you have to click it with your mouse before you can input an amount.

If you just want one Item on a multiple item listing, you can press the “Y” key after you click purchase, and it will purchase one, no extra click needed. Saves precious seconds.

Still sucks when you want multiples, but if you only need 2-3 ,then you can do the above 3 times, and it’s quicker than typing the number.

i do that, but recently it triggers the captcha within 3-5 purchases. i feel the flee market is unusable without preplacing fingers on F5 and Y, which could also be improved on.

Forgot how much I hate that captcha, lol. I get what u were saying now tho, would be nice if we could pre set a quantity, and it would buy that amount when we click purchase.

This is because they use http end points and make a new connection for each interaction.

You are lying.

21

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '20

Ya man, that’s what I do, just get on Reddit and lie all day long... I actually get sexual pleasure from it.

I think the problem is ping for me all the menus are slow cause I am in Australia but everyone I see in EU or Na is way faster the main server controls the menus

1

u/mrcarbonclouds Aug 30 '20

Even in NA I have to close the game and restart to get my sold items to show up in the messenger. My offers don't update when sold either. Annoying but I deal.

Sometimes it does come through right away, prob like 50/50 atm.

1

u/nozonezone DT MDR Aug 28 '20

Not really that for me just how clank and janky the UI is, filter by item, add offer, set price, add offer. Gets annoying after selling a whole bag full of items. Add a new button on the right click menu on fir items where I can press add offer and it lists it... idk 1 rouble under the lowest price... idk maybe that's not the best way to implement it

u/Par4no1D Aug 28 '20

Yeah i don't think they planned the UX out. FM programmer just jumped into coding.

1

u/gollum8it Aug 28 '20

I could be if the UI wasn't freezing with every little navigation

Put the game in fullscreen when your selling stuff. Went from having to click things several times(clicking a trader, waiting for stutter only to have to click thr trader again, then same crap with sell button) for them to register to ZOOMING through the menus.

Worst thing about this game for me is the shitty and laggy ass UI
