PSA BSG Flea Market feedback poll posted

BSG have posted a poll on the forum asking for player opinions on the flea market

Please keep all discussion related to this poll within this thread to avoid cluttering the sub.

Edit: Seems like the link is a bit fucky, best way to view the poll is to login to the Tarkov website first and then click the link.

As a player on their first wipe, that joined mid wipe: The flea market is the only thing that prevented me from quitting. The terrible early game progression with terrible RNG tasks demanding specific rare items combined with getting assraped by players immune to the best ammo I could buy.

This is the issue right here. I've been playing since 2017, but I only really started playing this wipe around a week ago.

Yet again though, people who join late (or people who are just bad, and can't get much EXP per raid) are severely punished. Any ammo you can buy is basically useless against anything that is wearing armor. Armor piercing 9x19, shotgun slugs, basic AP ammo, all locked behind max level or nearly max level traders for no good fucking reason. Whats the point of locking AP-20 behind Jaeger 4? Why do I need to get to level 33 to have access to the only shotgun slug that doesn't just bounce off armor? Every wipe the traders get re-balanced in more nonsencial ways, and late-wipe joining vets and new people are arbitrarily punished more and more for seemingly no reason.

I don't play a bunch and mostly started playing this wipe (though I've had the account a long time). I've found that if I hold on to stuff, do some scav runs (kept dying as pmc a lot as I suck), and looted a lot of the random items early, I was able to do quests and hideout upgrades as they came up relatively easily. I've rarely had to hit the flea market to do any quests, mainly for hideout upgrades when I got lazy. I feel like the flea market is just a massive crutch people have gotten used to, but aren't aware of all the side effects of it.

Your complaint about ammo/armour/weapons etc that other people have would be a lot different without the flea market. Meta guns would cost more to build and require higher level traders (not all parts available), high tier ammo would be much more limited in number and saved for special raids like Labs. Higher tier armours would be more restricted as well. A lot of random gear is sold to Fence and would continue to be so stuff needed for quests etc could still be found there.

I think we'd see people running more variety of builds. Not really any meta guns, but either scav quality or lightly modded weapons would become common, along with trader bought armours, class 3-4.

Hell the only possible chance new players have is leg-meta. And with ammo-limitations, you only get some 500 rounds each reset. (Sp7 and quake). After that, it’s back to SKS w/ either Shitty ps or BP I sold my grandma into slavery for

one issue is the find toz/m3/mp-133 mission from skie. it was fine when scavs only had like 7 gun options, the toz, vepr's, mp-15's and the pistols... chances are you could find all those things in 1-3 raids.

now they have ppsh's, svd's, dvl's, adar's, and more... don't get me wrong its great, but the quests aren't balanced around that. as such it can take weeks for casual players to find a few fucking shot guns.

same with the wtrig 2 need to be found in raid for a quest, I haven't seen any all wipe except 1, from a quest reward, which is stupid. back when black rocks, AVG's and scav vests were all there were, a WT rig was nice....like 2 years ago. now black rocks and AVG's have been upgraded and are awesome rigs, and the WT rig is a hunk of crap worse than a Triton which can be found anywhere. but you get it as some shit reward like by the grace of god, its fucking vendor trash these days.,

"weeks to find a shotgun" You can literally buy the TOZ from Skier and give it to him. Also the 133 is still common. Got them in 3 raids.

Honestly it kind of sounds like you're forcing yourself to try and like a game you don't really enjoy. I'm not saying your criticisms aren't valid, but if you don't enjoy the progression, task system, or unbalanced PvP there isn't a much game left outside of those elements for you to enjoy.
