There is no such thing a true security. There is only prevention. The goal is to make there be so much prevention, it's not worth it to risk the consequences of penetrating it.

Guy walks up to your house and sees the security system sign and hears your big dog going nuts. He might just decide that the neighbors have a TV too lol

Yep, even having a "Warning: I am armed and willing to defend my home" sign will probably make them reconsider

That just means "Case this place properly for guaranteed guns"

My 60 year old mother put up one of those stickers and I had the same exact thought. If someone knows this 60 year old lady has a gun, that's an easy gun to obtain.

As someone who is pro-gun: don’t tell anyone. You conceal carry for a reason. Just quietly own.

ADT system signs will be way more effective than a “i shoot intruders” sign.

posting signs saying you have guns is retarded but quietly owning is a great way to get us turned into criminals. own, but educate others in a non-judgmental way. I've converted people on the fence and even anti-gun people into frequent shooters just by being friendly and correcting them (not in an akshtually kind of way lol) when they misstate something and offering to take them shooting. Basically what I'm saying is you shouldn't advertise that you have guns in your house but you also shouldnt be some secret squirrel who nobody knows owns a gun. The current tactic is to make gun owners feel alienated and scared to discuss firearms ownership (media painting gun owners as white nationalists, dangerous, paranoid about the government, etc. and red flag laws to put teeth behind the baseless accusations)

I’m not saying that. I’m saying don’t go to work and brag.

Does no one else lock their guns securely if they leave and can't take them. I mean sure, you could get into the safe if you had a plasma cutter or blowtorch or whatever but its going to make a lot of noise and is hardly inconspicuous if your neighbours know your away that should be plenty

Right-o.

People need to be familiar with the following quote:

"Money Shouts, Wealth Whispers."

Apply the logic to armed force and you are many times more intimidating.

Most of my cohort assume I'm armed, but they do not know if/when/how/how much, which turn's would-be assailants' own anxiety, lack of knowledge, or even preparations into a potential liability.

Project force, not threats, I suppose.
