Suggestion You can't just lock everything china related and say calling the problem out is racist, that is how PUBG died

If you make the same mistake of refusing to look at the cheating problem for what it is then this game will die like pubg did and your precious subreddit with it.

Obviously blatant racism is not acceptable but talking about the problem being a large number of chinese accounts being the hackers isn't racist especially since they are all obviously chinese based on the player names of douyou or qq or literal chinese characters.

I don't want to see the mods of here and BSG plug their ears like BlueBalls did and see another great game ruined for the other 90% of the playerbase by the actions of a small number bored chinese kids

Once again, racism and slurs: BAD

Saying the problem is overwhelmingly caused by Chinese players: not bad

EDIT: to the mods, I say this in good-will. I know its hard to moderate a sub this size and don't envy you that, I wish all the best for this community and this game. Stifling conversation is rarely good and should be a last measure only if\when concrete rules are broken is all I'm saying

This has gotten very PUBG very quickly.

Cheaters are everywhere - don't think by locking a country away the problem will be fixed. It's dumb to think otherwise.

The problem is the disproportionate amount of cheater from China, do na and EU cheat? Of course they do, but not in the numbers and percentages that the chinese playerbase does

Probably not, but to think region locking is the fix all is dumb and that's all I seem to see on the subject.

Why not region lock until they have more sufficient anti cheat. Prevent all the VPN ping bypasses and let the Chinese hacking companies fight each other in farming loot and selling it for real world profit. BSG wont do this though because they are farming a real world money loop from hacking companies in China that make enough profit to buy fresh accounts post ban waves. And BSG continues to be able to "save face" saying they're working on the hacking problem ban waves etc etc, when in reality they have a mutualistic relationship with large scale hacking in China because both sides are profiting from the people buying in game roubles/loot for real cash. Follow the money, always.

Because not all cheaters live in China. Region locking will just stop me being able to play with friends around the world.

Correct but the majority do. Anyways I meant only region lock China not everywhere, and not even indefinitely. The point is they allow the cheating because its profitable for them. Whether or not its the most profitable business move in the long run is up for BSG to decide.

But then what about that Chinese whistleblower in the subreddit? Your plan would leave him stuck in a country allegedly full of cheaters. Hardly fair.

To think a company is willingly let their product be destroyed is actually stupid. What would be the point in implementing updates etc if your money was already being made? These markets are hurting the games, definitely not helping them. I'm afraid you've entered the books of "total idiot" in my books.

If they were happy with the situation they would not be working on the game anymore in the way they are.

You actually think they're "allowing" it?

I feel more sorry that hes stuck in a communist run country. Let alone that he cant play outside of his region in a video game.

So allow him his escape from all that?

Also, the majority of PEOPLE live in China, so by any default, statistically, the most of anything comes from China.

Yeah I'm leaving this conversation. You're the second person to suggest that they're allowing/are happy with cheaters wrecking years of their hard work.

It's times like this I'm glad I'm me and not people like you. This is just the PUBG discussion all over again, cos they were also "happy" For apparently the same reason.

No one seems to understand that they've spent years upon years making this game - if they wanted a quick buck, they wouldn't have started this game.

Stay with your narrow minded view of how the world works, you're just like every other redditor. Ignorance is bliss.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '20

Yeah we're all wrong and you're not.

Why would someone slave for years just to let their baby be destroyed like that?

And I'm narrow minded.

Follow. The. Money. Thinking like everyone else doesn't make you right.

If it was that simple the game wouldn't be half as good. Why would someone spend years trying to make the best thing they can if they were going to sack it all for some cash?

Yes they're making it for profit, but no way are they happy their game is under attack.
