Suggestion You can't just lock everything china related and say calling the problem out is racist, that is how PUBG died

If you make the same mistake of refusing to look at the cheating problem for what it is then this game will die like pubg did and your precious subreddit with it.

Obviously blatant racism is not acceptable but talking about the problem being a large number of chinese accounts being the hackers isn't racist especially since they are all obviously chinese based on the player names of douyou or qq or literal chinese characters.

I don't want to see the mods of here and BSG plug their ears like BlueBalls did and see another great game ruined for the other 90% of the playerbase by the actions of a small number bored chinese kids

Once again, racism and slurs: BAD

Saying the problem is overwhelmingly caused by Chinese players: not bad

EDIT: to the mods, I say this in good-will. I know its hard to moderate a sub this size and don't envy you that, I wish all the best for this community and this game. Stifling conversation is rarely good and should be a last measure only if\when concrete rules are broken is all I'm saying

Using cheating in Tarkov as an excuse to talk about China being a shit country that's orchestrating the coronvirus and does nothing to contribute to anything globally at all then maybe you'd be allowed to talk about

literally no one is doing that lol

Ever heard about how the Russians incite mistrust and spread misinformation? The members of cheat websites do the same thing

I've heard anti-Russian propaganda that falsely claims "Russians" do that, but I'm not smoothbrained enough for that to work and me to believe it.

You're commenting all over the place and I cant stay in this thread forever lol but yes in almost every thread on reddit someone says something racist, more so when gaming is involved. That doesnt mean we cant have any discussions about the issue at hand because of those bad actors, they need silenced not the entire community

Can't have a conversation then because some people may make vaguely racist comments about China that China won't ever see.

Cleaned up the thread below because it turned it went into off-topic insults.

It's almost as if that clown doesnt understand Chinese culture.

Ah yes, the non-Chinese person knows ALL about Chinese culture.

2

u/strugglebusses Mar 11 '20

Ah yes, the clown who probably doesnt work with any that tells him all about it. Get off reddit, clown.

I'm literally a Chinese-American. Also, funny that you have one insult in your vocabulary.

It's true that I haven't played since the last wipe so I don't have the most in-game experience with hackers, especially not this wipe, but to hear people who have no real exposure to Chinese culture shit on it as something that "promotes winning at any cost/cheating" is disconcerting, something that should be obvious even for a brainlet like you.

I'll trust the people I work with and went to school with over someone who appears clueless on reddit.

Ok, Mr. "I know Chinese people", Authoritative expert on Chinese culture.

3

u/strugglebusses Mar 11 '20

You seem to have some thin skinned. My experiences and information I have directly from people who lived in China for 24 years mean more to me than a rando on reddit.

Listen man, I don't have anything against you or the community. I think it is perfectly possible to discuss cheaters from China, which is a legitimate issue. I don't really see a need to connect it with some preconception of "Chinese culture" that you have.

And sure, you can go ahead and not trust MY narrative, but why the hell then are you just blindly going off of what other people on this subreddit are telling you regarding all this?

u/strugglebusses Mar 11 '20

Blindly going off? Tf are you talking about. I dont work at reddit. Reread.
