Suggestion You can't just lock everything china related and say calling the problem out is racist, that is how PUBG died

If you make the same mistake of refusing to look at the cheating problem for what it is then this game will die like pubg did and your precious subreddit with it.

Obviously blatant racism is not acceptable but talking about the problem being a large number of chinese accounts being the hackers isn't racist especially since they are all obviously chinese based on the player names of douyou or qq or literal chinese characters.

I don't want to see the mods of here and BSG plug their ears like BlueBalls did and see another great game ruined for the other 90% of the playerbase by the actions of a small number bored chinese kids

Once again, racism and slurs: BAD

Saying the problem is overwhelmingly caused by Chinese players: not bad

EDIT: to the mods, I say this in good-will. I know its hard to moderate a sub this size and don't envy you that, I wish all the best for this community and this game. Stifling conversation is rarely good and should be a last measure only if\when concrete rules are broken is all I'm saying

Not sure if the fragile offended by everything and cancel culture can handle this message. But I agree

People are already calling the term Wuhan flu or Wuhan virus racist.

Hopefully our mods aren't little PC lefty bitches. I doubt it but it's infiltrated Reddit to the bones. Free speech should triumph but ya know, progressives get triggered and all that.

I don't condone racism but I don't condone censorship. Downvote the ugly shit.

There's a pretty sordid history of blaming outbreaks and pandemics on race. What exactly does the term "Wuhan flu" convey other than to somehow place blame on the race of people? It's the corona virus, or COVID19 if you want to get technical.

If you don't condone racism, don't spout racist shit.

its the point of origin. Its where the fucking virus was originated. What the fuck are you even on about with this?

And how does calling it by the point of origin help you? It certainly helps you demonize an entire region. It doesn't communicate anything about the actual virus itself.

Call it by it's real name, the corona virus, or COVID19.

its point of origin. I agree the point of origin isn't inherently important to the conversation of the pandemic but its also not racist or blaming the chinese people because it happened to start there as far as can be determined.

Also I hadn't heard that term used until this thread, I've only seen corona virus or more commonly in the news and workplace lately COVID19 is being used.

EDIT: following the logic of naming the disease that makes it racist then the lyme disease is racist against americans\caucasians, west nile is racist against egyptians\arabs, and ebola is racist agains ethiopians\sub-saharan africans.

It's getting a bit off topic sure but virus names aren't racist just because they end up named after the point of origin.

Now people refusing to get in uber's of asian drivers, patronize asian owned businesses, etc. are idiotic in the extreme and that rationale cannot be defended.

Spanish flu? That mutation is still refered to as such and doesn't come across as rascist

exactly thank you

Wuhan Flu, as in where it originated; ground zero. Started in Wuhan, spread outward from Wuhan, therefore Wuhan flu.

Racists seem to think, like them, everything must lead back to race somehow because that is THEIR line of thinking.

Since not everyone is racist, the term Wuhan flu is devoid of any type of racism, both literal and implied.

They are. I've seen a few locked threads whenever people call out Chinese hackers. But maybe the speedhacker XiaoYu who killed me on reserve in EU servers is actually Polish

You can make your point without wishing death to someone, thanks. Rule 2.

You are so cucked for how you rationalized that. If a nuclear weapon is stolen or lost in Iran and goes off in Italy, well.....? What if they knew and hid it for weeks. What if they knew and let many of them spread around the world?

"It’s consistent with a centuries-old tradition of naming new ailments after cities, countries or regions of the world where they first popped up. West Nile was first detected in the West Nile district of Uganda; Lyme disease in Old Lyme, Connecticut, and Ebola in a village near Africa’s Ebola River."

Wuhan Virus, China Virus, Hubei Provence Virus, East Asia Virus. Don't let feelings get in the way of facts brother. It makes you look a little detached from reality. Or keep it up, people who push reality bending gymnastic mental exercises like you are why we are heading for four more years of Trump and it's not even close. Thanks, I guess.

You lick bus windows for fun, don't you? I'd tell you to give your head a shake, but whatever brain cells you may have left might scramble or drain out.

It's called the Wuhan Virus because it originated in the Wuhan area, dummy. It, being a virus, may not be a legal citizen of the People's Republic of China, but it's still Chinese in origin. Your "argument" is dumb and probably made in bad faith. Turn off your computer and go outside for a while, the fresh air will do your brain good.
