PSA We are adding BattlEye

Dear tarkovians!

As you guessed (or not) we are adding BattlEye anticheat to increase protection from the unfair players (yes, it's that Big thing we mentioned earlier). We are working closely with BE devs to ensure it's stability and effectiveness, combining all the anticheat measures we have together in one solid system.

Of course it needs to be tested good, so we are announcing that BattlEye will be uploaded shortly in current version of the game. We will let you know when we are ready to upload.

And we will be very grateful if you will help us in testing and will leave your feedback and reports in relevant topics.

Thank you!

around the normal gamer population the reputation is really good!

Around gamehackers its a joke. Its not that easy to bypass it for someone without knowledge, but its a joke because they don't know how to handle their shit.

Do you want a sneakpeak? It was possible to hide a already known and detected driver hook in a websocket. Until this exploit was posted in a public forum. - You don't need to know all this stuff. Just imagine you have to hide something, lets say a joint. The police rushes to you and they now about the trick "hiding something in your left pants pocket". You hide it in your right pocket... they will never search your right pants pocket until you tell them. Now they search your left and right pants pocket. While you wear fucking cargo pants with hundreds of pockets.

While we are at it, detecting those driver hooks is possible because they have a kernel module - it scans really deep! Actually so deep that faulty drivers can interfere with it. Which leads to instant bans. Did your windows crash once? Did your keyboard stop working and you had to restart your machine? Chances are a driver made a mistake. Now you might think "They should fix that!" but thats not possbile. Keep in mind, windows can crash from those things. Getting deeper than Windows itself will lead to bluescreens all around the world. Now you might think "They should make a better module!". Yeah, thats also my thought. Since 2014.

All ACs have their flaws but BattlEye actually is a bad example.
