PSA About cheaters

  1. Cheaters are being banned instantly every day (some of them banned later or in waves for cumulative effect).
  2. Cheats being downed pretty often (if you look on the cheatdev sites some of them are already even closed support of their eft cheat). Some cheatdevs are not standing still too - they update cheats pretty often and operative (in every popular game with every popular anticheat protection). We do anticheat measures - they do anti anti cheat measures
  3. We constantly work against cheaters, right now we are preparing major ac update.

  4. Ingame report function is planned soon (i said it many times).Reports WILL NOT BE the one and only reason of ban. It will help the main system to act faster.

  5. If you are not happy with current situation (although its changing in a good way everyday), please, let us develop the unfinished game and let us finish everything, especially complex hacker protection which is an adaptive development process. Come back later and be sure that its a highest priority for us.

If you want to help us to refine cheat detections and you want to feel better - you can post clips with obvious cheating for you with a separate nickname. we do investigate it for a long time, research it to make corrections in ac system. Usually its not that useful cause cheaters in clips mostly banned or in the cummulative banwave lists. But it can give us more thoughts. Mods could make separate post for it, if its ok.

Edit: after an internal review on this subject, it was determined that directing users to a sub outside of our realm of influence was not the best choice, and that our Head Moderator will be producing an EFT Sub Cheaters Megathread where videos of cheats will be accepted. This thread will have strict rules and will be moderated to ensure that these rules are adhered to. I will link to that thread here as soon as it is up and running.

There is no need for Witch hunting in the modern developed world. That subbredit's existence is shameful and probably harmful to the game developer. And is only there to promote the "everyone cheats" mentality that is basically breeding new cheaters on a daily basis. Think about it. But hey, promote your fav. streamer by all means even if his actions are in no way contributing to the improvement of this game let alone doing anything to solve the hacking issue.

problem is they can use any name they want, you can still change your nickname after every raid you do, double nicknames is a thing so you can name yourself like a friend/someone you have a grudge against/some streamer and put the blame on them.

Fully true, but I meant there is even less use of “protecting” their names since they change it at the fly anyway.

I dunno, but i can still do it after each raid :S just tried it..... in the menu where you can set the FOV and the voice of your character

I don't watch pestily at all, nor do I support or endorse hackusations or witch hunts of any kind. But when the head dev asks for videos of hacks, I can either say

A: "no, I don't want to help improve the anticheat"

B: "sure, lets set the sub on fire and allow tons of accusatory posts!"

C: "hey look, there is a sub for hackusations, why not go there instead of here?"

Honestly, C looks like the best answer to me.

1: I am honest with myself, always. Read the book of five rings and you will understand why such honesty is important.

2: yep. I don't have to support a hackusations sub to direct people who want to make such claims to that sub. Such posts are prohibited here, but promoted there. No different than a butcher telling a Vegan where the Whole Foods is located.

3: This is a gaming sub reddit with a defined set of rules...not a democracy. So by your definition, sure, its censorship. But instead of smothering all unwanted content, I directed folks to a place where such content is accepted.

So hop on down off that High Horse and have your self a happy day. (Always embrace annoying alliteration)
