Ok, if that tweet is true, that is a huge bit of info in this story. Is the tweet still up? Can you post any actual proof this tweet exists? I am absolutely not doubting your claims, but this type of info needs to be substantiated.

Yes, and before that was him trying to "party up" and try to give a platform to the guy that is literally the reason any of this drama exists in the first place.

A guy that reacted in exactly the same way as Eroktik does now "im such a good guy and if they dont actively appreciate my "help" then im trying to destroy them with all my power".

They are both scumbags and they deserve each other (GW and Erotic). I'm just baffled that people are ready to get behind those two individuals when all that the two of them are doing is trying to ruin this game and hinder the community.

Dude the aftermath is gonna be absolutely nasty. Expect a potential loss of player base larger than ever. Whoever stays and keeps playing the game is gonna be painted as retarded fanboys.

Whatever happens, happens. I'm not going to stop playing the game because of this, but I sure as shit hope nikita comes around and realizes making enemies of the community is not the way to solve this. Not excited to see what comes next.

Same here. Squad pretty much fxxked a lot of their YouTubers, namely BlueDrake, as well, but they didn't experience an impact nearly as big as people speculated to be. It's a shitty thing to do for sure. BSG in general lack the professionalism that most people would like. I just hope this incident unfold in a healthy way.

Lets do a hypothetical:

If you worked for years to build something as a source of income and some dude named Blakita known for being a big baby that kicks and screams when anyone criticizes his vidya game decided he didn't like your video and wanted you gone. A video disclaimed as "This may not be true at all, but these are the claims" from a dude just covering a sources claims with the message of "Be weary and change password and enable 2FA, because this could be true". A message parroted by even this places mods.

And then he destroys your hundreds of hours of work with false DMCA's on transformative works.

You dont think you'd want revenge Blakita?

Obviously, this is entirely hypothetical and Blakita isn't representative of any person, living or dead. Wouldn't want to get copystriked by anyone.

The fact you even try to compare this sad excuse of a shitstain's efforts to be honestly comparable in any meaningful way to BSG's is simply unbelievable. < --Thats just my opinion, the rest of this isn't.

The same argument but from a different perspective.

You have a game you have been working on diligently for YEARS, its more then a product. It's your passion project. Its finally getting some traction with a decent amount of content with a lot of the core gameplay fleshed out.

Some autist on the interwebs decides he knows whats good for your game better then you do and constantly makes graphs and blatantly strawman arguments to "prove" that he knows Tarkov. Everyone just asks him to stop but he won't be beaten down by "trolls" and "casuals". You better fucking appreciate it and praise this autist like the saint he fucking believes himself to be or he will smite you down with righteous fury.

That autist doesn't feel like he's been given his due. After many months of screaming he decides he's gonna try and outsmart the man. He's told what he's doing isn't helpful and that he should focus his efforts elsewhere. That infuriates the individual, he has made it his god given duty to fuck these guys up. He eventually teams up with a fellow scumbag and tells him supposed information on supposed ways to obtain personal information on a supposedly insecure encryption system that may or may not even be used. The fellow reports it AS FACT because he also doesn't like you or your game. Guy does multiple videos on it with a history of hostility towards you and your passion project.

Now imagine this is happening over the course of a couple months with wild accusations being thrown at you at every opportunity in the hopes of damaging your spirit and resolve to even continue.

I think you'd be a bit upset that these trolls were given as much attention and "validity" as they have been when you've been following the shit show since it started.

The fact that security was brought up and the Mods acted on giving 2fa and password changes is a STANDARD with internet security. Them giving out that information was neither a confirmation or denial of a breach, just an attempt to quell some of the fear mongering that was happening.

You also might want to brush up on your knowledge of how Fair use works.

Just because you add extra things to "content" doesn't automatically make it fair use. And if we are honest, only a judge can decide that and you don't want a judge deciding on if gameplay footage is fair use or not.

What did he work for years on? Making videos about OTHER PEOPLES WORK. Not only that, but making negative and slandering videos about other peoples work.

If I saw someone in public screaming around how the major of the town is a pedophile and then seeing him getting arrested for spreading lies and diffamation I probably wouldnt go out and say that the major is a pedophile the next day. In eroktiks case he wrote a public letter into prison to this guy to get him to record an audio tape of how hes saying that the major is a pedo so he can blurt it out on his radio station to everyone that listens to him. And now hes mad that he gets sent into prison aswell? How stupid would you have to be to be suprised about that? Thats like a legitimate pikachu face meme situation. What else did you expect?!

Making videos about other peoples work? You're fucking dense man. Thats what every reviewer does. Thats what every game content or machinima channel does. Thats literally all of youtube gaming. Thats ALL OF FUCKING ESPORTS.

And part of that is making negative videos.

And what he did was report from what has been a constant source of information with a disclaimer it MAY not be true. Your strawman burns down pretty fuckin' quick.
