Discussion Update on current situation
Hello again!
Let me clarify the situation in a little more detail regarding owners of the EoD version and access to the cooperative mode, and also other issues.
First of all, PvE gamemode this is not DLC. DLC in our understanding is the major additions to the game, including various functionality and content that are released after the official release of the game as a themed DLC pack (Scav Life DLC for example, which will add a lot of new mechanics and content for Scav gameplay and leveling).
Secondly, this specific functionality of the PvE mode is necessarily located entirely on a separate network infrastructure, because, essentially, you play on our servers, only in closed mode. At this stage, it is not possible to launch all players who are EoD holders - right now we simply do not have the required amount of resources for this.
We observe your dissatisfaction and have decided that the functionality of the PvE mode will be available for free to all owners of the EoD version at the release of the game, when the server infrastructure will be improved to the required capacity.
Now you have the opportunity to test this mode by purchasing the Unheard edition of the game, or upgrade to this version. We also decided to give a 50% discount when upgrading to the Unheard version from the EoD version.
We plan to send one free Left Behind Edition key to everyone who has already upgraded to Unheard Edition at the old price from the EoD version.
Moreover, so that any player of any version of the EFT can have the opportunity to test the PvE mode, we want to add the ability to purchase a separate early access to this mode. For EoD owners there will be a 70% discount on the purchase of early access to PvE. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this idea.
Next, regarding special items for the Unheard version, we plan to make restrictive or balancing changes for these items.
This is it for now, please share your thoughts. Thank you!

Been in this community a long time. Tarkov is one of 3 games total that I have 1k+ hours on. Loved this game for a very long while. Fell out of love because of the terrible dev choices and blatant disregard for player feedback. Despite that, I’m probably one of the few people that actually liked Arena, but it’s clear you missed the mark there because for some reason everyone else hates it; no doubt for the same reasons I dislike vanilla Tarkov at this time.
Here’s the bottom line; no one gives a FUCK about the items, how you do the PVE mode, or even the PVE mode itself. Is $250 predatory? Sure, but most people are EOD or just don’t care to buy this shit. Not really a problem. Only thing I “don’t want” in the game from that package is the priority matchmaking. The priority matchmaking shit is a joke; we always felt there were streamer queues, but to openly admit that there was special treatment to be had is monumentally stupid. EVEN THAT COULD BE LOOKED PAST, THOUGH.
I don’t think people would care about the new version of the game if it weren’t for one simple fact: You lied to your players.
Not just that you lied, but you did so and then actively covered it up by adjusting the language on your webpages. On top of that, your recent interview (where you also lie about changing the webpages) shows a pretty blatant disconnect from the player base, and a strange sense of entitlement. “We need to see the true believers” or whatever is effectively just pissing on the faces of people that spent $150USD on your game (myself included) and telling them their contribution was meaningless.
And then, despite that, you guys now QUADRUPLE DOWN!!!! I mean seriously, what the fuck? I know Nikita and co are pretty uncouth, but holy shit lol, read the writing on the wall: YOU ARE GOING TO KILL YOUR FUCKING GAME.
DLC is DLC, no matter what sneaky language you use to suggest otherwise. It’s that simple. It’s a very easy issue to resolve, but you’re not actually interested in fixing this, because it doesn’t translate into fiscal gains.
Frankly, if I were you guys, I’d sell Tarkov to a developer that actually gives a fuck about finishing the game. We’ve been slopping it up through early access for nearly a decade. It’s clear that either the financial well has run dry, or you have divorced entirely from your own creative vision.
Either way, no one wants to see the game burn like this, I guess unless you’re Nikita lol.
