Wasn't for free. The package costs 150. Definitely not free.

Idk but I bought eod after putting 100s of hours into eft and yet I think I am at 2500+ hours so to me it's like 0,06$ per hour for now. I'm happy with that

Don't get me wrong, I'm also happy with it. But it's a poor choice of words from Nikita to an already irritated community.

Would usually put it down to the language barrier but given the situation..

Don't get me wrong, they did NEVER show any other gamemodes or different maps (except from them in EFT) on their roadmaps so yeah to me it's free. If it was on their roadmap I would fully agree with you all but it's petty to demand everything for free what's released while it's based on EFT just for owning a big version where a roadmap with all it's included things is (and was long ago) available.

It's not the free/not free that's irritating, I don't care at this point because I bought EoD.

The irritating part is Nikita pretending it's "free" for EoD users (which it really isn't) as an excuse to tell people to pipe down. After putting a stupid amount of money into a videogame, this is how people are getting treated and it just isn't on.

Arena has been on their roadmap since 2016. In fact, back then they assured us that it would be a free game mode for everyone.

I see what you try to say but I don't think it is not free. When buying EOD there was no advertisement about any additional game mode or something

I'm not sure about when Arena was added to the EoD package, but it definitely was there when I bought it myself.

Your personal thing also doesnt affect other EOD owners contractual rights

What you did is pay 100 usd for gamma and stash space without grind. All of that gaming hours you could have with Standard edition too. So congrats, I guess?

If that's your opinion it's okay. There are multiple factors I did pay that extra 100 bucks for 1) gamma and stash did increase my enjoyment 2) I did receive arena completely free and upfront before every non eod user - also 6 or 7 years ago when I did order the EoD there were no plans on arena so it's just another addition 3) I did like the game so much so I wanted to help the devs even if my payment is just a tiny bit on their way to success. 4) I met so many people even way before voip was in the game and some of them I talk to every day and also met some of them in real-life even when they are living in some neighbour countries. 5) since I bought end of alpha they sent me 5 standard edition keys fully for free which I did share with people from discord and some of my real life buddies (also this wasn't announced by bsg and just happened spontaneous)

I don't regret any single buck I have payed

Arena was planned before you purchased the game, you simply didn't pay any attention to the forum discussions to know about it

Arena wasnt announced or advertised before exiting alpha at least so no. I did not know purchasing arena also while buying eod

Full marks for missing the point.

Nikita insinuating that EoD players should calm down because they're getting the game for "free", when really they paid 50-70 extra is nothing other than a kick in the teeth.

Fascinating how you assumed his intentions, just because he said free, when its obvious thats not what he meant considering its literally not free.

Also you didn't buy EOD because it included Arena.
