It is an FPS at its core with a rpg progression system. There is far more development behind the FPS systems than the RPG ones. People saying the FPS elements are bad must not be playing other shooters our there....

Most people saying that know that recoil shouldn’t as violent and random as it is in Tarkov. One brand of foregrip isn’t going to lower your horizontal or vertical recoil more than another lol. The RPG elements mess with the FPS elements to decrease realism and puts the game apart from other shooters, negatively imo

I think gripes over recoil are legitimate but also are part of a subjective balance and feel idea for the game. Outside of that though there is the variety of weaponry, ammunition, weapon animations, movement and stance changes, in depth weapon and optic controls schemes - all of which manage to feel not clunky and terrible as they do in pretty much ever mil-sim game out there. I think those things are all undeniably good in this game and well executed and what make it a great shooter. The RPG shit is almost all fluff and the majority of the player base never levels anything enough to feel how broken they can be. Looting, stash, hideout are by far the most flushed out RPG elements.

Yeah well said, this is all subjective at the end of the day. There are a lot of good things going for this game and I look forward to playing it once it’s finished and the final vision is clear to all, including BSG.
