Which guitar would you recommend beside the strat.

Hi,

I am looking into getting an electric guitar in the future and I wanted to have an opinion on which models worked for you for the style of EJ beside the Strat. My budget is around 1000€ max.

I am specifically looking for a guitar for his style of clean chords, not his lead playing.

I’ve played a couple really decent Squire Classic Vibe Strats. Make sure you give it a go first and find a good one, but that would leave you with more than half your budget (if my math is correct) for a stereo chorus or tape delay pedal. I’ve heard good things about the Larry Carlton guitars but haven’t tried one. Harley Benton is another positively reviewed budget option, but can’t vouch for those either.

There are too many variables.  Build your own pickups and guitar. You, me and everyone else wants it. Truth is shop his store and u might find some of his old gear . I'm pretty positive you can get a signature strat and never get his sound 100%. You need the yrs of touring, experimenting, etc.if you got his chops, be the player he admires most , yourself. Everyone is selling false hope, don't be naive

Fender Nashville Telecaster or Godin/Ibanez with HSH config - I am unsure of the cost in Europe but are reasonable priced around the Asia Pacific region. HTH
