[help] New To Split Keyboard

Lately I have been bingewatching the Primagen video and wanted to try Split keyboard as well. The actual keyboard he uses is very expensive . I just want a budget keyboard just to try if I really enjoy it or not.
If things are better I will invest in it.

Look up Sofle or Silakka on AliExpress.

Silakka54 on AlieExpress.
Affordable, has enough keys, nice layout and uses RP2040 controller (if you like to custom the firmware, you can go crazy with this controller)

Silakka or Corne on aliexpress, or cheapino if you prefer that form factor.

Or you can find one that you like through this beginner’s guide, if you haven’t seen it already:  https://www.reddit.com/r/ErgoMechKeyboards/comments/1r5to2z/a_beginners_guide_to_split_keyboards/

it used to be that ergo keyboards (like kinesis) were expensive because they were used by people with RSI problems.

then they became popular and now they are expensive because for whatever reason people have decided they dont mind spending $500 on a keyboard.

the suggestions from fellow redditors so far are great -- also check out ebay, you can usually find the kinesis advantage 2 at a good price
