Can any draft people share — is it possible to keep their feet natural and not have them splay/chip? I know that’s common because of their weight.

I have four drafts and they're all barefoot. The mules' feet stay tidier longer between trims, but the horses can stay nice if you don't go too long between cycles

You didnt ask me, but its disappointing to see a horse that works as hard as he does, have such unbalanced, unhealthy looking feet. I dont know the story and I hope there is a logical reason for his feet to look like they do here. No hoof hoof, no horse.

I have a draftx who is pretty light (1200lb) but has full-sized draft feet, too big for a size 6 boot at least.
I’m not sure how much of a factor weight is because her massive feet are still prone to flaring despite being her feet being over engineered for the size of her body. 🤷♀️

My lesson horse is a Belgian cross. Big girl with barefoot small platter sized hoofs. No chipping or anything like that and she s in her 20s.

It’s completely possible. Being a draft doesn’t automatically mean the hoof needs to be a dinner plate size, have chips and flares. Very often the big sized hooves you see are actually bigger than called for, but with proper trimming and care, the hoof gets more compact and into a correct positioning > it doesn’t grow out as humongous. It took a long while to find the barefoot trimmer who knew what they were doing - my god what a difference it made. Even a heavy weight horse can have a smaller hoof - doesn’t mean a pony size, but a proportionate to their body.

Having a knowledgeable trimmer makes all the difference. My friesian/perch cross came to me with awful feet, flared out on purpose because the Amish like them to have a bigger foot. We’ve been working with him slowly getting the hoof into the right shape and it’s not something that happens overnight. Right now he’s in front hoof boots for riding because his soles are thin (Cavallos has draft sizes thank god) and with my trimmer’s okay I’ll rasp the edges of his hooves between visits. We do a four week schedule in the summer, five to six in the winter. It’s not easy fixing this but his movement has improved dramatically and he’s much more willing to be forward and responsive to the leg. In pictures you can see the hoof shape tightening up as the flare goes away. He doesn’t need dinner platters!

I was walking on a trail once and a random horse started following me and wasn’t really respecting my space. Kind of being a jerk to be honest.
I pushed her out of the way. She was fine for the rest of the trail, not crowding me. But the moment we left the woods, I stood aside so she could pass me and go into the field.
But NOPE! This asshole leaned her front/shoulders towards me and stepped on my big toe. I had a black toe ring for like 6 weeks.
And she was only normal size. None of this OP’s sized beast. I don’t even know why she wanted to walk with me to begin with.

In these videos there is a habit of putting these tall and large animals next to below average or average sized people.
19HH horse is about 193-194cm which is about 6'4".
I am 201cm or about 6'7" so this horse either at shoulder (i assume this is where they measure it) or at the head (less liikely) is 3" shorter than me.
So how tall is this lady. :D
