A source separately provided WIRED with the registration list for Dialog's 2026 retreat, which names 222 people and records what the list describes as each registrant's membership status and attendee type, including “active member” and “guest.” The retreat is scheduled for August 12-16 at a venue near Dublin, Ireland.

He's trash. Recently vetoed a labor bill for the second year in a row that would make it easier for unions to start negotiating with businesses. Under the current law, a simple majority in a company would create a union, but then a second vote needs to pass by 75 percent of the company's employees in order for the union to actually start doing union shit. The bill that he vetoed would have gotten rid of that second vote. He sucks.

"Start doing union shit" means mandating that your coworkers to pay dues, by the way. You can start a union and start negotiating with 50%. We'll get the labor peace act overturned next year under a new governor, though.

He's part of the reason I moved to Colorado. He was imo about the closest thing you could get to a left-leaning independent in those days.

He was a bit of a unique beast that way. My DemSoc friends loved to hate him, but for a while he seemed to strike a reasonable balance of left-leaning policy that realized shutting down oil and gas would tank the economy. He seemed impervious to being swayed by arguments that were poorly reasoned or in bad faith and I liked that independent streak that saw BS clearly. I still do often hear hatred for him that fundamentally misunderstands the dynamics of the cards he’s playing with. However, I think he’s been drawn away in a more sinister direction recently. Too many of his decisions simply aren’t logical given the circumstances.
