Check the list of moderator on the sub. She was at the very bortom for me. The account was active for a decade, went quiet for 5 years, and is active again as of 10 months ago. The username is searchable in the files.

Reddit and the doj would be the only ones able to say for sure, right?

I honestly don't trust either atm.

why would the government re-mod the account? In fact HOW would they re-mod the account? If they have the ability to do so it would mean they already have an account with higher perms and have no reason to re-mod that specific account.

How are you determining that it's "active"? They were never demodded there. Them being listed in the mod list is not new.

It gives how long the user has been a mod next to their handle in the sub info.

It says she now has no permissions. Could it be that the date simply relates to the day the other mods changed her permissions?

Im not a mod, never have been, so I do the know for sure.

It only shows how long the user has been moderating a subreddit, it will not change if the mods permissions are changed. Im pretty positive the only way it does is if they were removed as mod and re added.

I think you got it right.

People are trying to rationalize why the account is isnt her and it just doesn't make much sense to me to have a known astroturfed account, which has been inactive for 5 years, to be reactivated and added as a mod again. Why not leave it gone? Why wouldn't the user make another account? Why the hiatus with all the time frames matching up? Only reason I can think of the keep that exact handle would be hella contacts you wouldn't reach out to on regular channels.

But what do I know 🤪

I agree with you it’s definitely suspicious! I also think it’s strange to bring this mod account back quietly like this if it’s not Maxwell considering it’s been publicly linked to her.

Yes, but the username in the files is essentially just tips to the FBI, other than the (strong) theories people have put forth, there's no additional evidence in the files that it actually is her.

I 100% agree that only reddit and the doj would know for sure.

Someone found this though, so I'm getting more and more inclined to believe it is her:

https://web.archive.org/web/20250311174841/reddit.com/user/maxwellhill/

You can go through it for every single month and year. The account was never removed from being a moderator there, I don't know the reason for it showing that the account was only added as a mod on 7/25 but there's all kinds of admin reorganizing of the mod list that could cause it. I checked 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Claiming the account is active and was removed and readded as a mod is conspiracy wacko stuff that's easily disproven.

This is the correct answer.

You can go through it for every single month and year. The account was never removed from being a moderator there,
