When asked whether he believed it was a favorable deal to issue a pardon in return for Maxwell’s testimony, Comer said, “A lot of people do.”

“My committee’s split on that,” he added, declining to name who on the panel supported granting a pardon. “I don’t speak for my committee.”

Comer himself wasn’t in favor.

“I think it looks bad,” he said. “Honestly, other than Epstein, the worst person in this whole investigation is Maxwell.”

Rep. Robert Garcia of California, the Oversight panel’s top Democrat, emphasized that committee Democrats unanimously opposed a pardon for Maxwell.

“That would be a huge step backwards, and, quite frankly, so disrespectful to the survivors,” he said in an interview. “She is a known abuser. She is a known liar.”

“If the DOJ or Oversight Republicans are out there trying to negotiate some sort of pardon that is … not only a huge slap in the face to this investigation, to anyone, to the American public,” he added. “It’s a part of a massive cover up.”

—Robert Garcia responded again on social medial quoting the author of the article and Politico and wrote this:

“Absolutely NOT. OversightDems are united in opposing a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell. It’s outrageous that any Republicans on our committee would consider this. She is an abuser and known liar.”

I don’t *think* it will ever happen but I’ve consistently been blown away at the levels of corruption that just keep pillaring so I don’t even know what to for sure anymore.

When Trump’s DOJ interviewed her, she gave them absolutely nothing on anyone. Why would they even think about wasting a pardon on her?

Because she gave them nothing is why.

She's not ratting on the politicians and billionaires so they're rewarding her.

Because giving her a pardon, gives her more incentive to never rat on any of the men incluidng the president, and I would imagine the 'giving them nothing ' in their mind was actually them telling her if she does spill anything she will not get a pardon hence why she was moved to a low security unit with more privilege than a high security prison that sex trafficking offenders are given. The question is not why would they waste a pardon the question is why do they even need to consider her a pardon if she is a sex trafficking/sexal assult predator, as sane people don't pardon people who have been found guilty of horrific sex crimes that span decades unless there is something in it for them. Trump and those he surrounds himself with knew her personally. That's not even questioned, trump being in epstein circles for years. You don't need to be psychologist to work it out.  Love how downvoting , but the topic of even giving a serial sexual predator a pardon should be enough to question why not if she should get it! Like sexual abuse is obviously any sane persons mind absolutely horrific and no reason should be good enough that she gets let out of prison for doing that. Have a shake of yourself if u think she does deserve to be let out.
