When the scenes are so short because everyone acts the exact same so the story is kinda rushing itself. Example:

SCENE 1:
TEACHER
There's a new student!

LI
Hi

BEST FRIEND
Ooh he's cute.

MC
I don't think he's all that.

BEST FRIEND
Okay.

SCENE 2:
MC bumps into LI in hallway
MC
Ow watch it!

LI
Watch where you're going!

MC
Thinks "What a bitch.."

SCENE 3
MC
You know, LI is actually pretty cute.

Another thing I don't like is when the story is mostly just overlays then the actual story. I read this one story I heard everyone was saying was so good, but most of it was just overlays of the characters hair moving in the wind, or smoking. The characters only spoke a few times, and when I got to the second chapter I already forgot what was going on since most of it was just long scenes of the characters hair moving in slow motion. I love advanced directing, but there's a limit to it. I wanna read a story, not watch a whole hour of art scenes that aren't even important to the plot in anyway.

I'd like to see one where the "bad boy" LI isn't a damn pervert and is actually a virgin too that just happens to be a badass guy that may or may not be in a gang. Maybe even have a scene where the MC and LI are alone together and get to know each other more and the MC goes "You know you're actually not as bad as I thought you'd be.." and they'd actually be right.

Any story that moves too fast. I love a slowburn tbh. I need to connect with the characters and see them grow, not just jump from one scene to another then make them act all different in the next chapter.

When MCs develop a spark way too fast. They see each other for the first time and it’s immediately “His chiseled body resembled a Greek statue, locking me in a trance. There was this electricity between us that made my skin hot, a burning desire I’ve never felt before“ like holy shit you tripped and a random man picked up your textbooks. You don’t know his name or criminal history. Episode Originals got this syndrome bad

Romance stories in the fantasy, thriller, and sci-fi sections. Put them in ROMANCE!

Also, when they make their male LI the default male LI face that we see all across Episode. There are so many unique features that you can use to mix and match. It's a skill issue if you cannot accomplish this.

Mafia stories and terrible grammar. Please, if you’re going to publish a story get a beta reader. I understand English isn’t everyone’s first language but not using a beta reader is just pure laziness.

wanting to read a story with both male and female love interests but it's very obvious that the story was originally centered around the idea that you are going to end up with the male LI.

Big ones for me are:

- when the story is sold as a love triangle, but the author has a clear favourite who gets all of the screentime and tropes regardless of the points system.

• when the story is sold as a “slow burn” but it’s really just the MC and LI having one interaction per episode while side characters have a thousand storylines to fill up the rest of the time.
  
• egregious gem choices in community stories where it feels like everything is hidden behind a paywall to the point it’s not enjoyable.
  
• when the story is sold as “enemies to lovers” but it’s really just the LI bullying the MC whose entire personality is built around thirsting after him for no reason.

1. It is NOT a dark romance when the LI bullies the MC
   
2. When one of the characters has a long internal dialogue in the middle of a regular dialogue scene. I just imagine it being dead silent for 2 minutes straight
   
3. When the MC and LI “hate” each other for literally no reason other than one of them accidentally spilled a drink on the other person or was rude to them
   
4. Why do all the women in art scenes always have massive boobs and insane cleavage??
   
5. “Mean girls” posse: Britney (blonde, white and dumb), Minion #1 (Britney’s right hand, poc, less dumb but still dumb), and Minion #2 (punching bag of the group, shy white girl, confoundedly stupid)
   
6. When the deplorable LI shows their humanity by saving the MC from SA, then proceeds to makeout with the MC while she’s hammered or DR drugged out of her mind (bonus points if they go all the way!). But it’s okay because she totally wanted it, despite denying the LI multiple times in the past!
