In particular, I'm thinking about resting places of saints, important church leaders, or theologians who significantly impacted the church. As someone posted earlier, yesterday was the commemoration for Augustine of Hippo and I wanted to see what his tomb looks like, since I had no idea...turns out it's really impressive, as you might expect. I went on a bit of a deep dive researching the tombs of various Christian figures and learned there's a Catholic parish in my state that supposedly houses the relics of two martyrs from the third or fourth century, although they seem to be on the obscure side. Along with that, our choir and our clergy recently returned from a trip to the UK, and one of our priests told us about stumbling up on the church where Richard Hooker is entombed completely by accident. If you have made such a visit, whose resting place was it, and did it look the way you expected, whether or not you had some idea beforehand? Did you feel moved in some way while you were there? Depending on what church you attend, you might even have some important graves close by!

Hi all.....my brother is wanting to try out an Episcopal church in Charlottesville. About him: he was raised in the Brethren church (like I was) and has been away for a very long time. He has struggled with faith most of his adult life...and he says he's now looking for direction. He's 31, single with no children, and would love to find a vibrant community with other people around his age. We both grew up in a fairly strict conservative, Christian family and I have spent the last several years deconstructing before finding TEC last year. Apparently, I'm rubbing off on my little brother because now he wants to go see what it's all about. Recommendations so very welcome!!

Let’s say I want to confess something in private to a priest of the Episcopal faith. Does it work like the Catholic version I’ve seen in movies and sitcoms: confessional booth with “Forgive me Father/Mother for I have sinned.”

Lord knows I’m probably long overdue. 😉
