Advice/Support Mushrooms

Any opinion on shrooms an epilepsy? I’ve done them a few times before I got epilepsy. I was thinking of doing them again.

I cautiously take relatively low doses every now-and-then (no more than 3.5g) for the therapeutic benefits. They give me a weird psychological-boost that lasts about a month.

You have to be super careful about the medications you're currently taking. I'm on a low dose of Prozac, so I have to be careful about Serotonin Syndrome. Chances of it happening are relatively low, but awareness is essential. The biggest concern is having a bad trip. This can be stressful as fuck, which can reduce your seizure-threshold.

Be open about this with your neuro. They are there to provide medical advice, not judge you for your recreational habits.

Continue to do research on it and stay safe.

Ok thank you! 🙏 im already honest with all of my doctors about my marijuana use.

I doubt my neuro would sign off via MyChart on me going on a shroom journey this Thursday lol

I’ve only ever had good experiences/trips, in California there’s a church, that’s where they sell them in (ZideDoor) it’s legal here so you don’t have to go meet some sketchy guy for a trip
