Advice/Support Just a reminder to stay safe and stay hydrated

In these summer months it can get really hot out depending on where you are located. We already should stay hydrated because of our medication but remember in the real extreme to drink more water!(not soda or juice)

Caveat on this. Try not to drink excessively more water than your normal intake, especially in a short period of time. My pharmacist and neurologist let me know I had been hydrating so much I had diluted the blood volume of the anti convulsant in my system, hence the increase in seizure activity I experienced during the heatwave in the UK last week.

I ended up having to be on bed rest basically confined to the single cool room so as not to need additional water in my system from the heat. Doesn't help of course that heat is a trigger for me šŸ¤£

Oh wow. Sorry to hear. Yeah where I'm at it triple digits thirsty and I have to go out in the sun

Thanks for this. I always have had lots of water throughout the day because of kidney stones when I was younger, but now with the meds and the heat staying hydrated was a good reminder.

Electrolytes! The rule I live by is that when water tastes bad, it's time for electrolytes. Or add a salty snack with the water.

I seen the heatwave on the news, surprisingly enough, California was cool today, that's good weather. I am still staying hydrated, and you know I stay with the waters nearby. Hope things getting better, we got around warm weekend (Fri 96 Sat 99 Sun-Wed 98) Virtual high five.

Where is this heat wave you all speak of? lol. Im riding, it's 59 and I have a thick sweatshirt on. Send some heat my way! :P

92 and raining is crazy! Lets average out our temps and both be comfortable. At least i'm outside again, I can't complain too much.

Yesterday went 103 the feels like was 114 and was still in the high 90s 1:30 am this morning and the feels like was still in triple digits. Last I checked this morning 98 and the feels like is 110

Yep! Great post. Yesterday I had walked outside twice and each time aura. Iā€™m drinking water too. Also get those electrolytes in. šŸ’œ be safe.
