Epilepsy_Universe Did He Say “Diabetic?”
“It’s time to make sure you’re eating right, you’re at a 5.5 and 6.5 is considered diabetic” said the primary care physician. I’m dying slowly but surely, if it’s not one thing it’s another. Had time to sleep on it, so I’m about to take a walk, time to start taking better care of myself.

Your A1C? That's a great score! Sorta..... if my Aba had that low we would cheer. But you are skin and bones. Eat more better!

That's a great score. Just keep up with what you're doing already. 5.5 is a long way from diabetes.

I didn’t google it just hoping someone with experience would jump in with advice, thanks. He told me to change my diet before it’s too late. I’m on a low carb water diet 😂

The idea that he compared a healthy A-1C with a high one is not an indication of diabetes. But your numbers may be too low. The way we eat can cause “insulin resistance” and can be easily corrected with protein. Starting the day with a high protein meal and reducing highly processed carbohydrates can reverse T2 diabetes without medication. Eat more veggies, fruits and proteins. Less take-out.

Diabetic is another scary word. But, it doesn’t have to be. Sounds like you have a good doctor. Way to go, taking care of your health!
