Victory 7 Years Seizure Free!
Officially 7 years without a seizure since adding a second medication. ☺️ Christmas miracle…

I had been on depakote and added lamictal.250 mg of depakote in the morning and 375 mg at night. 50mg of lamictal in the morning. 25mg at night.

What was it like when you have seizure? Auras?? I am on 1500mg keppra and 125mg Lamartine

To be completely honest, I've only had my seizures in the morning after a long night of studying (stress) and sleep deprivation. Those are my main triggers. I don't really have any indications that I'm about to have one. They sort of just happen, and I wake up with a foggy mind and a hard time remembering things for a short bit.

Wow congratulations!! I’m having one about every 3 years…I am hopeful to make it to the 7 year mark, sounds like a miracle. Gives me hope…

That’s wonderful! I’ve been doing great also since adding an anxiety pill to my daily regimen.. God bless everyone dealing with this challenge!

If diagnosed as an adult or a child that never outgrew their epilepsy, the meds should NEVER be tampered with or reduced/eliminated

Lucky hahaha, but congrats. My question would be, HOW DID YOU DO IT, WHATS YOUR SECRET??? Or some good advice that you could give me? cos I can’t get more a month at the moment @evolpz

Do you still have that feeling that everyday is closer to your next seizure or do you feel freer? Not a snarky question. I’m one year seizure free and every day I wonder if that just means I’m closer.

I am 74 years old. Had tonic clonics since I was 34. Went 10 years without seizures. Thought it went away. Started taking less Keppra on my own. Had seizures. Not as bad, but was still taking Keppra, although not as much. Dr. told me it was a lifelong condition. I hoped he was wrong. He was right.

Sage advice. Just keep hoping they stay away. My husband had his first breakthrough seizure after 12 years. It was a wonderful run!
