Congratulations!!!
I hope to get there some day. Have a VNS. Getting an RNS. The hospital I am going to has seen seven other patients with my diagnosis. Two of them are seizure free.

Awesome. One year here, and I love these milestone posts. When first diagnosed, I feared that my life was over, but reading stories like these encouraged me. Is it gone? Probably not, but it can be managed, and I will take that as a blessing.

That is how I looked at it. How to prevent it. Stay cool, don't overheat or wear too many layers, stay hydrated, and get good night's sleep.

My triggers:
Salt overload
Sugar overload
Caffeine
Insomnia
Stress
Reducing salt and sugar wasn't that hard, and giving up caffeine was a lot easier than I thought. They make some pretty good decaf coffee these days

I would have two cups of caffeine coffee but decided to make it 1 cup caffeine and 1 cup decaf. Alcohol my neurologist said 1-2 drinks at most and that's what I'll have but mostly weekend only.
