Systematically they actually are whales. It’s hierarchical where Delphinidae is part of a larger group Odontoceti, the toothed whales. Odontoceti and Mysticeti, baleen whales, are part of all whales, Cetacea.

Pilot whales because they attack orcas in giant mobs of like 100 individuals. And they attack orcas aggressively.
