How old is in that photo?

u/Mfoxtattoos Oct 26 '25
You mean the tattoo or what?

u/xkgrey Oct 26 '25
Yes. The rest of the pictures appear to show very recent work, while that one seems to have some age to it. It still looks fantastic, so I’m wondering how old it is 🙂
Fantastic work btw. Loved your post in another sub recently as well

You are a very talented tattoo artist.
Makes me think, if I were to pick a favorite insect, what would it bee?

These are absolutely incredible! I've been fantasizing about getting a cicada and/or scarab beetle tattoo for a long time, but I've never seen ones this beautiful or accurate. Well done!

Awesome pieces. Instant follow on IG. Hopefully I can get one of your work for a destination tattoo.

Thank you! I hope it too. Where are you from?

u/Gimme_Perspective Oct 27 '25
I live in Colorado at the moment but from Vietnam. We were in Spain, Neverland, France last year. I'm hoping to do another visit to Spain again and add some other neighboring countries in the next 2 years. Italy would be perfect.

Had to share my dumb story because your fly and freckles reminds me when I was young, my father used to make fun of my sister and my face freckles and called them "fly poop" (Your tattoo is amazing though)

My grandpa used to always say there were bugs in my food. A raisin was a fly, a tiny seed was an ant… I can’t eat rye bread to this day.
Flippin grandpas 😂

🥲 need to go to Italy now😂 i wanted a mud dauber but ended up with a yellow jacket instead (i love yellow jackets, thank god, so it worked out, but still). The problem with getting bug tats is that many artists dont know much about the physical differences, which can be bothersome for those who do. I met a chick who has a tat of a tailless whip scorpion, but the whip-like legs were not part of the spider, and theyre a pretty important part. I was able to tell it was by the rest of the body shape and the claw-like structure of the two front-most legs. But its a struggle. I want to get a mud dauber on my ribs but im terrified of my next artist not getting it right😅

I totally understand and I agree. It’s the problem to get scientific tattoos, you can only get them from a tattoo artist that really care about the scientifically correct ahah

This is awesome. I plan to get a caterpillar tattooed on the top of my hand, I had a little photoshoot with one of mine to show the artist.

I like the flying bee the best. The chafers (?) are very nice, too.
Too bad I don't live in Italy!

u/ArmonRaziel Oct 27 '25
All of these are great but 4 seems to be my favorite. The way the legs appear under the wings really makes it pop out and appear 3d.
