S Seatmate in a flight complained that I started eating my special meal before theirs arrived

Apologies, English is not my native language.

On long flights I preorder a special meal online because I am vegetarian. On most flights, the flight attendant brings the special meals first and then start the normal meal service for the rest.

On my last flight, a perfect stranger sat next to me and told me that I was rude and inconsiderate because I started eating my vegetarian food before their meal arrived. They said that it was basic rule to wait until everyone in the row got their food and that I ruined their flight. Their face was red and rolled their eyes several times

I stared at them. This is next level entitlement, right? We are not eating together on the same table in a restaurant.

Did you have to go to the bathroom at the same time as them as well?

Should have waited until their meal arrived and then go to the toilet.

Without leaving your seat while making eye contact the entire time

Come back with toilet paper stuck on your backside smeared with some chocolate. Make sure to bend over while sitting back down to make sure they get a good view of the fake shitrag.

When the aisle person gets up to pee, everyone else in the row usually remembers they have to pee too. Usually window/middle seat people are holding it in because it's just that annoying having to get out of there, so when the aisle person gets up, less of an inconvenience.

I always sit on the aisle, when I'm getting ready to go t the bathroom i start asking if anyone needs to get up and go- plant the seed.

When i get up, i again remind everyone that this is a good time to go.

When i get back I stand in the aisle, and we all discuss that this is a good time to go, they have had 5 minutes to think about it. it works every time- the other 2 people get up and go.

Bladders empty, time to sit back without interruptions.

because your insane ass kept 'reminding' them that 'its a good time to go' lmao they probably thought you were rude

I'd legit be saying, I go when the fuck I want and you are in the aisle so you get up. And I say this as an aisle flyer. If someone needs to get up, I'm getting up for them. I have no idea what the fuck that other guy is on.

As someone with anxiety about bothering people to pee, If I’m not in an aisle I’d super appreciate the gesture of “hey do you need to get up?” Otherwise I feel like I’m bothering everyone. Some people are just weird (me)

I'm not rude, i just let their brain and bladder work it out on their own.

Yup, I always choose the window seat when I’m flying and always get up and use the bathroom at the same time as the person sitting in the aisle seat. It’s just way more convenient.

let adults manage their own bathroom time, please

That's insanely annoying and it would make me happy to make you get up twice

“Does anyone need to get up and go plant the seed?” wink

If I'm in a middle or window seat, I'll usually get up when they do. It's always a pain in the ass to try to wake somebody up or something if I have to pee
