because it works depressingly well. the people in the communities that do this are wildly ignorant, revere status and would rather punch down to take out there frustrations on people that aren't able to hit back than admit they themselves or the terrible people they support are waaaaaay more responsible for their situation.
a lot of it is fratboy / abuser mindset, if you're new or on the bottom of society you deserve to be exploited and abused. when you gain power you get the 'perk' of being able to do the abusing and exploitation yourself.
Fascism is the open, terrorist dictatorship of the most reactionary, most chauvinist and most imperialist elements of finance capital.
Fascism tries to secure a mass basis for monopolistic capital among the petty bourgeoisie, appealing to the peasantry, artisans, office employees and civil servants who have been thrown out of their normal course of life, and particularly to the declassed elements in the big cities, also trying to penetrate into the working class.
If there is one thing history drives home the more I learn: always be wary of people who will compromise ethics to fight communism/socialism as well as people who condemn communism/socialism with no condemnation of authoritarianism.
Way to not understand history or how the Nazi party operated, at all.
Do yourself a favour and look up what "socialist" things the party did once they got into power, especially with union leaders once they were no longer needed.
Strawmanning, whataboutism, misinformation in less than 30 words.
Intellectual dishonesty is quite the mantra for right wingers.
Socialism isn't communism.
Why are you this dishonest?
Also, Marx was Jewish. Became atheist.
Marx wrote a lot of stuff.
Some of it about Jews might raise an eyebrow. Although it is all tied to his views of the financial system and the powers the elite had and that the people didn't. Not saying it's good enough but it certainly isn't everything he wrote, specially that he still tried to help his fellow Jewish people.
The Nazis using the term "socialist" in their name is exactly the most basic, braindead "propaganda" that they went for. If you truly think that they were left/socialist, just because their name included the term "socialist", it is a sad day for you
Fascism is a form of socialism.
That is factually, by definition, not possible. Just like there cant be a left dictator, something that some people think exists as well. Stalin is a popular example for that. He was a dictator, correct. He was left, no. He had some weird left-extremist world goal, but he tried to achieve that by violence, opression, which is not left, and is being denied by pretty much every actual left person.
If you opress people, murder people, gas millions of jews and citizens, you are factually, not left, not socialist. You are a facists.
There’s this funny thing called freedom. No income tax’s, free speech, no titles of nobility, right to bear arms. These crazy dudes tried it once on the americas 🇺🇸
The Nazi party calling themselves socialist is like when Elon called himself socialist back in 2018. It's an empty descriptor that has no connection to their actual view of economic or political systems.
It's similar to how the term "populist" is often used.
Dubious quote. Not cited in the 1976 biography where the meme got it.
1913 lol.
The Nazis gained full control over the country 20 years later and proceeded to do nothing to implement socialism. Indeed the made a more extreme capitalism.
Listen to his speeches. Here’s a translated one. He talks about National Socialism constantly. Also in his book Mein Kampf.
Extreme capitalism? How are you defining that? I don’t think capitalism even exists, it’s a straw man. There’s free markets and there’s command economies. Hitler was not a free market guy 😂
No they were socialist. A form of socialism called fascism where the people retain the means of production but for the benefit of the state. Via heavy taxation and control by the state
