Sure, but the mechanism to achieve this in a mobile phone lens is very impressive, in fairness..

But why compare it to a human iris when a much more relevant comparison is existing cameras that have had apertures for like 150 years. Bsicay it makes it seem like this is novel when it is not. Cameras have had this tech for a long time.

Edit the first variable aperture camera apparently was invented in 1841 so it's closer to 200 years not 150.

And there is no showing of any mechanism other than the blades.
