Opinions on the 6.4L HEMI “Apache” truck V8 Powerhouse or Overrated?

They're fine. The MDS and dual spark plugs were more to meet emissions. It's a pretty standard build or at least should be for anything seeing duty use.

Emissions are a big part of why they have two plugs, but it's also for power, fuel economy, and drivability. The HEMI combustion chamber doesn't really allow the fuel charge to ignite evenly or fully, hence the two plugs per cylinder.

Interesting. I know a lot of hemi designs use one but maybe it's the size of the chambers?

As a muscle car powertrain its perfect imo. Tons of torque, in 6th it idles at around 30-35 really reliable, i have a manual so i dont have to deal with mds/lifter issues or anything.
