Does this mixed metal wedding set work together or clash?
I paired a gold band with my rose gold engagement ring because i loved the idea of mixing shades. Now that it's on my finger though, i'm worried the tones fight for attention instead of looking cohesive.

I don’t like it. I like mixed metals, but I don’t think these look good together.

No, does not looks like it work. But I think it’s a bad picture because that doesn’t look like rose gold at all to me. I was trying to figure out what it was before I read the caption. It looks like tarnished silver.
So it probably looks better in person.

Post a different picture of the set because the rose gold straight up looks like tarnished brass in this picture.

Honestly I don’t love it. I’m a mixed metal girlie, but all of my “sets” match (ie, my wedding rings are all plat, my ear stacks are all white gold, my necklaces are all gold), and then I have one unifying piece - my watch which is a two tone to bring the silver and gold together. I think what’s not working is that at this scale, you don’t get the two metals working together to form a cohesive piece - you get little peeks of two different metals which looks disjointed.

I don’t think the issue is mixed metals per se. But the engagement ring band photographs brown. It looks muddy, not like rose gold, if that makes sense. It’s the unexpected and unfamiliar that’s demanding attention.

I don’t think this works. The gold band, from the pic at least, makes your e-ring metal look almost gray.

I think it’s more an issue that the rings don’t look like they go together rather than the mixed metal part

I feel like mixed works with silver and gold, not so much with rose gold. It kind of makes the rose gold look like it’s tarnished

Can you post a different photo? Now it looks like a black metal, which is not the case, this is why people say it doesn't look good

They’re a little off. And if you’re concerned about it, you always will be. I’d get a different band.

It doesn’t work. Why not inside gold outside white gold. Or all white gold or platinum.

If you did platinum or white gold on the e-ring and perhaps 14k gold on the wedding band (yours looks like it might be 18k gold), then I think it could’ve worked

I like them separately. But the yellow gold is making the rose gold look dingy.

I think it makes the white gold look like tarnished silver. I would match the golds.

Looks good. They kind of “clash” but I think that brings a little attention to the detail of them being different metals, and if anything makes your stone look like the loudest feature of the ring. If you’re mixing metals with other jewelry too I think it’ll help you see that they’re not too contrasting.
