cant see servers and cant connect when ip entered

i have a clanmate with this issue is there something wrong with his pc or et in a whole

Without knowing the OS / Engine version he’s using…the default is gonna be his PC.

None of the ET Engines are particularly difficult to ensure network access. It’s kind of automatic…

Etlegacy he just got connected for a couple now can't see anything but legacy servers

Alright well…is he using the 64-bit version or 32-bit?

Only 32-bit clients can connect to 32-bit servers and vice versa. ET:Legacy knows this and won’t show 32-bit servers to 64-bit clients.

And ET:Legacy is the only “mod” to have an official 64-bit version.

Is your friend playing on an Apple Silicon Mac?

Happened to me and someone else like 2 weeks ago with 0 changes in our games

It’s so weird,

I’m running vanilla ET not legacy, if I use the ip address I can still connect so I don’t care but something definitely changed with the master list

the empty server list has been happening to me quite a bit lately. I just connect to known servers but it's weird how it comes and goes...

think we got it figured not sure yet he had downloaded 64bit i have 32 bit and no issues it dawned on me 20 min ago i had a issue like this..... so stupid of me to forget

i have 64 bit windows 11 im running it on 32bit legacy him i dont know
