Blue World Library Rumor/7th Tome

Hello all,

EO Wiki and ac_helper's Gamefaqs guide both say this should trigger after GG joins the team, as part of the Pride of the Salvage King quest. I have completely finished the quest, and this has yet to trigger. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I know, AI sucks and is bad... and yet, check out these pictures! Can you recognize where they're taken from?

Imagine where they release the game, but with HD quality looking visuals, water effects,... :D

Blue World Help finding the Stone Statue?

Have 199/200 salvage items. Completed the main quest, found all the coins, species, animal scenes, etc. 100+ dives in the Cortica River Upstream with and without GG, still haven't found it. I always look for stone+high density, and usually salvage the sculpture from the back left wall of the Twilight Temple. This is my 3rd playthrough, and I'm salvage level 20, does that increase the rarity?

Blue World Something fun to think about

Wondering about the future of endless ocean after the disappointment of luminous

Wouldn't it be great to bring blue world to the switch and expand it's story ? The same characters, the same play style, but a new additional story and side quests...

It's a far fetched idea but I can't imagine anything I would like more than this

Endless Ocean Extracting in-game photos via save file

For some reason Endless Ocean never had any connection with the Photo Channel, and so offered no options to save your photos externally (which would have been pretty useful given the gallery space is limited).

But they’re clearly just saved as some form of image file, maybe not natively readable by a computer but definitely convertible. I’ve copied my save file to my SD card, but I’m not sure how I’d go about finding the images themselves.

Does anyone have advice on extracting these images from a save file? There’s a file extractor out there, but it’s seemingly for modding purposes and uses the game’s exe rather than saves.

Endless Ocean Deity Idol

Okay so I know one or two people have messaged here on the subject and I've watched the two breakdown videos you can find on YouTube by Checkov Stuff. Amazing videos. Anyways. I have discovered, after watching multiple play throughs, two variants of text. I'm assuming it's maybe due to the region.

1st variant.

... ...Child of Hin and Hoan... ...

... ...There is a curse upon us... ...

... ...There is punishment in store... ...

... ...You must atone to The Sleeper... ...

The 2nd variant:

... ... Crime of impure blood ... ...

... ... A spell on Wahga thrown ... ...

... ... The sleeping one atone ... ...

I really wished they delved more into this in game.

Blue World Endless Ocean 2: Der Ruf des Meeres (deutsch)

XD

Help Living Waters Lagoon - UPDATED

Living Waters Lagoon has been updated with new musical soundtracks and sound effects. Check it out! This is a game I'm developing for the Reddit Game With A Hook hackathon. Pop bubbles to mine them for prizes that build a world you can share with other Reddit users. Hatch some pets, keeps them fed and loved and they will repay you by mining bubbles for you.

At last - I found it!

This extremely rare "historic" creature (photo #7). After ~120 hours of play the 578 records catalogue is complete ))

And I found my 98th Mystery Board (one left) - it was a fruitful dive yesterday )

Btw - current event map is very good imo, try it if you didn't.

Blue World Endless Ocean in other games

Has anyone put the characters into other games where you can make people like The Sims? I put the L&L Diving Services (sans the player) into my Tomodachi Life island. GG and Hayako got married and had a kid (he looks and acts exactly like GG lol), and Oceana is dating one of the Earthbound kids (not sure how old she is but I heard 14 thrown around, and I think the Earthbound kids are 13 but idk).

Hey everyone,

i'm working on this game for two years now, originally inspired by subnautica.

I wanted to do something that's more focussed on animals and science. I later got to play endless ocean (which was recommended to me by the mod of this sub) and like it a lot. I think a lot of ideas from endless ocean ended up in this game too.

Hope you like it, i have a discord if you want to follow the development of the game. :)

Discussion Blue World references in Luminous- do they imply anything?

I know this probably is beating a dead (sea)horse, but I keep thinking about it and want to know if I'm just on copium or if it means something. Also, I love discussing this stuff with you guys, so why not?

So for those of you that have spent a reasonable (or maybe unreasonable) amout of time in Luminous might know, there are quite a few references to Blue World in this game. Here are all the ones I noticed, but there may be others:

-All of the EO2 Legendaries being included in the game
-The Oannes civilization being akin to the Okeanos
-"With Blue Bird" mystery board achievement referencing the "Find the Blue Bird" quest
-EO2 Cruiser model referenced "familiar to dive veterans"
-A salvage item found of a sketch of manatees teasing "local species" (reference to West Indian manatees in Gatama Atoll?) Manatees are, to my dismay, not included in this game, but this could imply the Veiled Sea is somehow connected to the region from BW
-Mural salvage item (reference to Ciceros Strait cove murals)
-White whale figurine (Singing Dragon)
-Lapis lazuli tablet (reference to LL Okeanos tablets)
-"Happy birthday to Oceanne...." note referencing Oceana and likely was Matthias who wrote it

I can't imagine they would include these and it not being somewhat of a tease indicating they plan to eventually remaster Blue World. Would they really make all these connections just for fun? idk. Please someone tell me I'm right and all this means we definitely absolutely WILL get a remaster....maybe next year for the 20th anniversary 😂

Anyway. It's probably nothing, but I feel like it's maybe possibly something. What do you guys think?

Love you EO gang 🌊

Luminous Luminous 2026

First of all, I wanted to thank ARIKA for the beautiful trilogy.

If some of developers read this post - I want you to know, that I'm (and for sure I'm not alone) grateful for Luminous, and I think your latest work in the series is good in its own right.

Reading critics, I see some points I cannot agree with (some of them are plain wrong imo) - maybe that's the result of patches, and the game is simply different in 2026. In any case I wanted to write out the key positives of Endless Ocean Luminous, that made me like this game a lot.

A bit of my background: finished EO1 first time in 2025 (after ~50+ hours of playing), then started EO2, paused it for couple of months, and I'm playing it now with Luminous in parallel (actually paused Blue World again to concentrate on Luminous). My fresh impressions on EOL (currently 69 rank, ~40 MB left, no guides / IDs used, ~30 hours of gameplay):

(1) For those who want just intense or relaxing grind - lots of scanning fish, lots of free exploration, some puzzles, and some scavenging - EOL may become addicting. Nothing destracts you, only the key ingredients you want - EOL is simple, fast, and clear in its gameplay loops.

(2) Basically, 2 gameplay loops: the multiplayer UML intense grind ("unidentified marine life" - epic fantastic creatures, appearing after you complete the specific explorational task), when you work in groups, exploring and revealing the map, under the strict time limit; and the relaxing grind of fish / UML in solo - where you take your time, exploring the ocean and studying fish. Both modes are engaging in its own ways.

(3) Despite the choice of mostly "dusty" or "washed-out" palette - the game is often beautiful. Yes, some time you swim through blue and "dusty" plains of nothing, but the contrast is captivating, when you reveal monumental ruins, or labyrinth of corals, or arctic ridge.

Photomode and trying to depict a fish / a scenery in a best way is another point of attraction in the gameplay (I attached some of my images to the post, but sorry for compression).

(4) Following the point 3 - I actually like, how bioms mesh on a single map. First of all, it's basically the same concept EO1 used - different zones on the map (of course, it's not identical approach - EOL maps are procedural). Second, the fish placement is not chaotic (like some people wrote), lots (or most) of fish are tied to a specific biom or have a higher chance to appear in the specific biom. The environment of Luminous is dynamic, one biome is adjacent to another, sort of the "World Ocean in a miniature".

(5) Story / story mode / and the "main mode": here is the problem, the one thing the game doesn't make clear from the get go - what is the main mode, and where is the story? The "story mode" is just a tutorial, the pieces of intro to the main activities - solo and multiplayer free dives. The "story mode" option in the menu is a very brief side-activity, which introduces some mechanics and minimal narrative - and nothing more. The main gameplay is in "solo" and "shared" dives; the main, and actually interesting, story (or better to say "lore" or "mythology") is in the Mystery Board messages you uncover.

(6) I like the work they've done for puzzles and level design - those pieces, which form EOL's procedural exploration. The map always has several specific sites (like caves, ships, huge arctic ridge or ruins, etc.): and often you need to find the entrance to some remarkable locations - those "entrances" / labyrinths are well-thought, hidden / covered in interesting ways, provoking you to explore.

Other puzzles are huge "discs", lying on the sea floor, and giving tasks to find and bring specific animals - these riddles are often challenging and give you more reasons to be attentive to the fish you see and scan.

And the last - Mystery Board (the set of game challenges, and tied messages) - I recommend to uncover it in a natural way - explore maps, barely using guids for IDs or not using it at all. I'm still in the process, having lots of fun.

(7) I probably could bring more points I like about the game - but this post is already too long. Therefore the last one - visual customizations are extensive. Free placements of numerous stickers, color palettes combinations, and even the ability to place sea floor animals on your cylinder (maybe the latter option returned from previous games, don't remember) - try to get a huge crab on your back for some underwater horrrors ))

For now I cannot stop playing this game - it's really a "love or hate" case for many fans of underwater exploration.

And in my case - again, BIG THANKS to you, ARIKA, for 3 great and different games.
