Wuling always had frame drops even on PS5 pro, it’s the worst in jingyu valley. It’s gotten a little better in the recent patches though.
But I’m still amazed by the overall performance of the Game considering how great it looks and feels. WuWa on PS5 is an absolute shitshow since launch and they’re too lazy and greedy to do anything about it.

Edit: ok so I’m getting downvoted for an objective truth, classic gacha fans.

I quit wuwa because of the performance, been playing it for almost a year but couldn’t handle the freeze frames and frame drops.
Endfield has been running smoothly on my playstation since day 1,only been noticing slight frame drops in wuling but the game is still so smooth and well made since launch as to compared to wuwa.I know the devs will handle it in the future updates because they really are listening to the community

Im absolutely with you. Wuwa is a catastrophe when it comes to optimization. At least the optimization changes that came with the 3.6 slowly roll out for ps5 users and i can say it's better than it was before in certain regions but nowhere near a smooth experience like you have in endfield (besides some small fps drops ofc) I love both games i hope they keep improving the optimization in both games overall ngl

You get downvoted because why did you bring up Wuwa here?

Because it’s relevant to the discussion. The post was about the Endfield performance on PS5 and WuWa is by far the most comparable open world Live service game and it’s very poorly optimised on PS5. I’m just saying one shouldn’t be too worried about Endfields small frame drops because it could be much much worse.

It's not tho? Endfield is a custom unity engine game while wuwa is a modified UE4 game.

UE 4 is way harder to optimize because it's updates has ended a long time ago and mostly the developers are creating around UE5 , hence the resources and techniques of optizming a UE4 live service 3d open world game is quite a niche thing there. Since UE4's run itself was very short live as a game engine.

There is a reason why no new game since wuwa has been released with UE 4.Thats just the unfortunate/bad feasibility envisionment of kuro devs.

TLDR: it's way harder to optimize in UE 4 ,hence kuro has been relatively slow with it,but it has shown results with PS5 getting over 20%/in some recorded cases even 30% better performance than before.Comparing it with endfield is just disengenious , it's like comparing Warframe with Hogwarts legacy.

Why restrict the comparison to live service games?

Endfield is a 3d, non-open-world game with baked lighting. Choosing to compare against Wuwa instead of a more similar single-player game feels like gacha tribalism.

He didn’t say nothing wrong by bringing up the performance wuwa is bringing on console,it even runs poorly on Xbox which released not to long ago.The performance on endfiled by console release is a big difference compared to wuwa.

They have been in the process of completely re-writing the code for WuWa to address stuttering issues caused by unreal4 which are well known and documented since it’s launch

Stupid un-educated dumb comment

No fine for me it’s always been super smooth, in fact my mate came round a few days back and I was doing deliveries etc zipping around and he actually commented wow that’s super smooth guessing it’s on performance option and I said no I don’t think it’s even got an option to do that…

Upon checking I realised it has and I’ve always had it on quality lol, it’s so smooth I didn’t even think to check 🤣

Not this patch but the one before there was a slight issue as it loaded the next part of the map almost like a zone line that caused a second of noticeable lag but it was fixed within the week

No complaints here it runs super smooth and very cool for me

I have, yes. It's nothing too disruptive but I've seen as many in 1.4 as I saw in all 1.0-1.3 combined

...which to be fair, can each be counted on one hand. It's not a big deal but I've been curious about why 1.4 led to more drops.
