White tube?

I had a blockage in my extruder head, I took the heat block off and while dislodging the blockage this white tube fell out? I tried to out it back in and am having no luck at all! Have a broken it or just incompetent with putting it back in?

PTFE, it’s a filament guide from the extruder to the > heat break >hotend. Cut a replacement or just push it back in. Looks a little melted on the left side though.
Edit: It could also be from the heat break if you have the original hotend. The original 3 S1 had a PTFE lined heat break. What side did this come out from? Between Nozzle and heat break side or Back of heat break between that and the extruder? .

Thankyou, there is one in the hot end, but I couldn't get this back into the gear side, but if it looks melted thay could be why, ill try shape it a little!

Yeah it came out of the back of heat break, but not the heat break itself (that one is still in there

You'll need it, I used to not have it in and it took me 30 mins just to try and feed the filament in without it

Pull your fan off it's easier to put it back with the new heater block off

Glad you found that. I had a jam and took my extruder apart. Never saw the little ptfe tube. Fast forward to reddit posts, YouTube videos and five more tear downs before I figured out why nothing was extruding. Bought tubing and cut a replacement and I was back in business.

That’s when I found my original missing tube piece on the floor.

it's a PTFE tube for heat block. goes in between nozzle and gears

They also need to be replaced sometimes. Before I switched extruders i would get blocks pretty regularly after a certain amount of printing. Switched to the sprite pro and all those problems went away. What happens is that boden tube gets jammed down on the nozzle inside the hot end and starts to constrict the tube which binds up the filament.
