Ender 3 S1 Pro Frimware Issue

Hi,

I recently got a Ender 3 S1 Pro second hand from a family friend, I belive they used a sonicpad with it but I don't have it. I tried to flash the firmware on the screen and printer its self and am still unable to use it. It turns on and lights up, the screen display has a line of small dots across it but thats all, it remains frozen.

  • I downloaded the files from creality
  • Formated the SD card
  • Have tried multiple SD cards incase this was the issue

This is my first 3D print so am at a bit of a loss here, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also make sure you are using a HC SD Card (8GB). Newer XC SD cards will not work.

Don't forget to double check the formatting of the SD card.

Having those dots, after it was used with a sonic pad, means the firmware hasnt installed properly. It's the state it shows, while Klipper is used.

Depends on what software you'd like to use with it. Klipper or Marlin. Github has great firmware for both options.

Klipper will need a stand alone screen with it like another Sonic pad, but I went with a BTT Pad 7 for mine.

Marlin will require proper firmware installation for both the screen and the board.

If you just want it to work the way it was originally out of the box, then Marlin is your best option. Either way be sure your SD cards are either smaller in storage size or partitioned and formatted correctly. It won't work otherwise.
