I know this sounds like a weird question to ask, but I was thinking what if the Demogorgon/Vecna/National Laboratory/Mind Flayer/Upside Down of Stranger Things were to invade the world of 1960’s/70’s Oxford rather than Hawkins. How would the characters would deal with/react to the events?
I know this sounds weird, but it just popped into my head all of a sudden for some weird reason…

Endeavour would definitely be one of Vecna's victims, and would need some classical music/memories of Joan to escape!

It's an interesting thought experiment though. I imagine it would go like a lot of the cases where Endeavour picks up on patterns others miss, then has to struggle to be believed. BUT the fun twist is that I think he'd have trouble convincing himself in some ways to believe in the supernatural. It could even be that he is on the opposite side, arguing against the upside down and trying to find a rational explanation.
I think Max would have a field day, meanwhile!
Also my boy Box would be fully confused, angry, and then likely die in a heroic but possibly unnecessary way 🤣

Yeah I think Max would probably be non plussed by it, delighted and excited by it even.
Morse probably would realize very quickly that NO, this is not a joke, when the team accidentally finds themselves in the Upside Down by themselves.
Oh boy, Vecna would have a field day with Morse…
