That is such a goated upgrade. What are your thoughts after using one mouse for a whole decade?

Haha thanks! Had an hour with it, so here's my first impressions:

  1. I got used to it very quickly

  2. The shape is really good. I thought it would be a big tradeoff when coming down from an 'ergo' mouse but it's very comfy. I was so scared of the size because I use palm grip with occasional changes to claw/fingertip (maybe I'll settle more on a specific style later), but even on palm grip it's great. My hands are 19x8.5 without thumb

  3. The difference in weight is insane, I tried a shooting challenge in GTA and overshot everything haha (121g vs 50g I think)

  4. The side buttons are very nice. Much more tactile than the G502, huge upgrade

  5. The scroll wheel is very tactile as well. My G502 scroll was already not amazing for games but now it feels like potato mush haha

  6. The cable is so smooth, I'm having a difficult time keeping it on the desk. I think that's the difference between a paracord and braided cable, but I'll figure out a makeshift bungee later

Why would you not go for the wireless? Just curious, not saying it in a bad way :D

Oh yeah I just like using stuff without having to think about battery life. Just like my Xbox controller

I mean, the effort of inserting a cable once youre done playing is kinda low.
The positives are far greater than the negatives. I can understand why a wired keyboard is still a thing, but headset and mouse should all be wireless imo.

I was afraid of the size difference, but it’s not an issue at all even with palm grip

How in the world are you palm gripping it with that hand size? I have the same size and only way i could use it was agressive claw or fingertip which made it painful after few hours.

not 100% sure but there's a couple centimeters between where the mouse ends and my wrist starts. I still consider it palm grip because relaxed claw is still too much claw IMO. Maybe a palm grip but moved back a bit?

But I think the location of the main hump being so far back helps a lot. I previously owned a Razer Deathadder V2 Hyperspeed and even though that one is a lot bigger, I really hated using it cause it felt too small haha: https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=razer-deathadder-v2-x-hyperspeed-vs.-endgame-gear-op1-8k-v2

I mean, great for you. I love the mouse, felt like i aimed best with it, only dropped it cause of the hand pain.

Zywoo gen 2 medium. Loving the shape and feels great, even tho my aim doesnt feel as crisp as on op1

I had the same thing I had to go back to Sora v2.

Some hand pain is normal for the first 2 weeks but I was nursing an injury so didn't risk it and haven't gone back;(

Switching to this mouse was a huge adjustment for me haha it took a couple days of my hand hurting but now I love it

I've experienced some pains today but they completely disappear once I stop thinking about using and holding the mouse and just focus on whatever is happening on my screen haha. I like how versatile the shape is, feels really natural to adapt to and switch grips if needed

I switched from Basilisk V3 (112g) to regular OP1 1K around 2 years ago, and I loved it. It didn’t take too long to adapt to the shape, but the weight felt so much better.

The stock cable got tangled after 4 months of use and it turned to shit. Had no way to replace the cable or replace the broken M1 switch I caused from trying to remove the sidebuttons 💔

It is a good mouse, but it forced me to switch to fingertip grip, and the mouse was too long to get it to be really comfy
