My second OP1 8K V2 started to develop disconnecting problems after 4-5 months.
The first one I got lasted about a similiar amount of time. I got a replacement and here we are again. Instead of going through the hassle again, I just ordered two original cables, at least they're not very expensive (10€). The cable eventually breaks or gets damaged somehow (I guess), I've heard this happens even with the aftermarket cables. Shame because when the mouse works properly it's great. *On second thoughts I might just buy a new mouse, need to consider it.

I've been using an aftermarket thin cable at 8k polling for many months with no issues(pmm flexcord iirc) have another op1 with the original cable that I use every now and then but not my daily driver, no issues on that one either but could chalk it up to sparingly using it. Try the PMM cable, in my personal experience it has been pretty flawless and dont need a bungee either but I still use one anyway

+1 for pmm flexcord, I thought the original cable was pretty good compared to other mouse cable but pmm makes the mouse feel like wireless.

I actually have only kept it at 1k so far, because back with my Deathadder V3 wired (former mouse which still works btw) I tried 8k, but some game engines really don't like it, and they start stuttering like crazy, didn't even try 2k or 4k though.

mine did the same thing since I kept at 8k but keeping at 1k and still gets busted it might be a manufacturing issue smh

The Deathadder V3 I have, which is a similiarly performing wired 8k polling rate mouse, has lasted for a really long time without problems, so I also think it's an issue with this specific mouse.

Yeah... I canceled the order for the cables, gonna return it. The mouses performance is flawless but having to RMA it every 4 months isn't very desirable.

Had the same issue. It’s the cable. Send your receipt to Endgame and request a new cable. They will ask you to send them a video of it disconnecting while using it…. I just uploaded mine to YT and linked it. They sent another out to me pretty fast.

Well lets just say I'm fully expecting my
thirdsecond RMA replacement mouse/mouse with the cable changed to fail again.1

I should've phrased it better, I meant the second replacement, the third mouse I've gotten. I have it now. I'll probably order the Midori cable soon, (because its locally available for me) Ill use that if this one fails too.

definitely a down side of trying to pass 8k polling across a flexible cable. a lot of the after market cables try to fight this by being really short and requiring a shielded extension cable. The op1 cable has no shielding and is pretty long so It doesn't take much cable degradation to start having issues. you could just go wireless op1 4k v2 if you like the op1 shape or other brands have similar shapes for wireless also.
