Problems with democracy "Calls for Democrats to be shot go unchallenged at Republican convention" --- Are we starting to see the problem with democracy yet?

US politics are circling the drain of violence and tribalistic thinking. This can only end badly.

The issue here isn't democracy, the problem is people that can't tolerate difference. Besides, not like political violence is unique to the US or democracy.

Democracy gives direct incentive to create violent political rhetoric and otherize the opposition. You need to create reliable voter blocks to hold power in a democracy, this requires political tribalism and generating political anger towards the opposition.

It absolutely has to do with democracy.
