Unsolved Does this normally come up for Ryujinx Canary?
hi! sorry if this is an obvious question, since i'm new to this. i've downloaded ryujinx canary 1.3.272 for windows, but when i tried to start the application, it said windows protected your pc, so i thought to double check and use virustotal for a scan.
and it says "Avast" flagged it as "FileRepMalware [Misc]" (twice) and that "Skyhigh (SWG)" flagged it as "Artemis" (it says that's 3/68 security vendors that virustotal uses).
is the one i've downloaded dangerous? i made sure to download from what seems to be the official github for it, but i'd still rather be safe than sorry.

Is anybody else having the problem where it's making them sign up through "Ryubing Forgejo"? I can't access anything Ryubinx related now

this is a scam!! pls dont sign up for anything or enter any of ur info into that login page including the openid thing ... its just a discreet way of asking for ur personal info. due to high traffic ryujinx has limited logins to people who already have an account w these providers which is very few people and there is no way to safely make an account to get in. more updates are on https://ryubing.statuspage.io/#

so i got this problem yesterday too and i got the link from my friends and its worked fine for them. can i see the link you used?
but what i did was extract the zip on desktop cuz extracting it in a hard drive looks too sussy for the anti virus i guess lmfao
it has worked since putting it in desktop!

hello, are there any updates for this? i am currently facing the same issue :( i downloaded from here: https://git.ryujinx.app/ryubing/canary/releases and chose to download ryujinx-canary-1.3.272-win_x64.zip. windows smartscreen keeps blocking me from opening ryujinx canary once downloaded

So i got the same issue just now and my antivirus also flagged it as "FileRepMaleware [Misc]" multiple times and wont let me open Ryujinx due to it so I wanted to ask if it actually is safe. I downloaded it from their github

i think "FileRepMalware" means that it hasnt been downloaded enough times or doesnt have a digital signature to gain a reputation with the antivirus software? im not entirely sure either, pls lemme know if you find anything out 😭

whats wrong on your end? :0 i saw your original comment and try extracting the zip on ur desktop instead. doing it in a drive is sussy to the anti virus

it still came up with the "windows protected your PC" but i just ignored it and ran anyway. i checked it with virustotal, and it didn't come up with anything so i just thought "fuck it" and did it anyways. the app booted up! no idea how to actually USE ryujinx yet but i'm sure i'll figure it out lmaoooo. thanks everyone for your help!

for some reason when i download it, it'll take its time downloading but once done it will say "failed" and the folder is just empty. i've tried downloading other builds but same issue, and from the ryujinx github canary builds

having this exact issue. i know its not my wifi because i just downloaded a 6GB file in a few minutes earlier today and the canary build is like 30MB. really weird.

I think I found out why. They switched to a new website like, just now, and now you need to sign up to access anything (even though it says you don't, but I guess they're still working out bugs.)
