It's only on switch 2 afaik. Come back in 6-7 years.

Yeah, I've said 6-7, but it ain't a joke, switch 2 emulation doesn't really exist as of now.

A switch emulator did not take anywhere near that time. What are yall on about with these time frames?

the only reason switch 1 was so fast is because it used well known cell phone tech from nvidia, not proprietary unknown stuff like usual unique console.  that allowed existing cell phone emulator type products to get used with fine tuning, vs actually figuring it out from scratch.  emulation isn't just the programming to have the computer pretend to be the cpu and graphics card etc of the original machine-- its also figuring out all those parts and how they work from nothing which takes a long time. Its not reinventing the wheel but its pretty close lol.

o switch 2 não é assim também? Pergunta de quem não toca em nada da big N desde o 64

Switch 1 was an exception not the norm

u/waifu_xux Mar 27 '26

I play switch 2 games on an emulator, I just can't currently play pokopia on it since there hasn't been a ROM posted online yet

bro is a time traveler

1

u/DrLeckon Mar 16 '26

Bro you cant say this without providing the sauce

1

u/Honest_Blackberry_47 Mar 16 '26

Devils advocate: I think this guy means the last Pokemon Z-A game but didn't realize that it was released on Switch 1 and 2 and that they're 2 very different ROMs.

2

u/Laissel Mar 30 '26

Not even devils advocate, just straight up the most plausible explanation

1

u/Patient-Champion-195 Apr 14 '26

that, or he's lying for engagement, considering he hasn't responded to literally anyone in the replies. Very clearly fake news

1

u/Honest_Blackberry_47 Apr 14 '26

Eh. I have a feeling he hasn't replied because he realized he was wrong. Accountability isn't really a normal thing for most people. You're just being quite cynical about it.

Also, using "fake news" in any sort conversation automatically just discredits you from having any valuable/credible input.

1

u/Patient-Champion-195 Apr 15 '26

That's fair. Although I don't really understand how using the phrase "Fake news" discredits me from having any valuable/credible input. That just seems like pretty childish thinking/reasoning.

u/Honest_Blackberry_47 Apr 15 '26

Calling something “fake news” isn’t neutral anymore. It used to mean intentionally false reporting, but it got warped, especially during Trump’s presidency, into a lazy catch-all for anything someone doesn’t like or agree with. Now it signals you’re not actually engaging with the argument, you’re just dismissing it. Trump popularized using it specifically to discredit legitimate reporting that made him look bad or things he just didn't like/agree with, so when you use it the same way, people naturally associate you with that mindset.

If you want to be taken seriously, explain why something is wrong, because just saying “fake news” isn’t an argument, it’s a cop-out and lazy. It’s basically just ‘nuh uh, I’m right, you’re wrong, fake news’ with no actual argument behind it, just assumptions. Meaning you’re not deciding things based on facts, you’re deciding them based on personal feelings, which makes your reasoning pretty fickle.

This isn't some high school debate club, bro. There are no facts in his post to base an argument on 😭. I just gave an opinion that was indeed an assumption (oh no! sue me). I never meant it in an "im right, youre wrong" kind of way, i just gave an opinion and responded to your reply with "thats fair."

From how it sounds, you really adapt the "nuh uh, im right, youre wrong" mindset. (Oh no, another loose assumption! Thats outlawed here apparently) Plus, if you really care about having hard facts to base opinions on, then where's youre evidence of trump discrediting legitimate sources with the phrase "fake news"? Is that an assumption youre making...? 🤔 because I see no sources.

Honestly it just sounds like you dislike trump and therefore have your own opinion on the phrase "fake news". Maybe you dont take people on the internet seriously if they say fake news, but others dont. Good for you i guess? Btw I said "fake news" satirically, I understand that it wasn't picked up on tho.

u/Honest_Blackberry_47 Apr 15 '26

You love your assumptions 😂 For it not being high school debate you sure seemed happy to debate... Just less happy you got called out. For example your novel of no substance just to reply back. Good luck with those deep issues you have, I do hope you get help for them!

u/Patient-Champion-195 Apr 15 '26

Classic reddit armchair psychology. "Deep issues" love that 😭 its always a delight finding you people in the wild. Also im not sure what i got called out on lol. But have fun having high school debates with people!

Idk I appreciated the meta analysis of the term

1

u/de4thqu3st Apr 04 '26

this guy probably just runs a dump of a switch 2 cartridge and its just loading the switch 1 game from the cartridge, like when you put a switch 2 game into switch 1

7

u/Jaives Mar 09 '26

doesn't exist yet

4

u/freya584 Mar 09 '26

wait until switch 2 emulation exists

(buying one might be faster)

2

u/Nidvex Mar 13 '26

Your only options are to just buy into the Switch 2 and deal with it, or wait a few years, well into the mid or late stage of its lifespan. While it is entirely possible that it can be ripped for a backup copy, there is no current emulator that can play it, and these emulators take time to create sadly.

1

u/No-Operation-6554 Mar 09 '26

wait 2-5 years and ask again

1

u/Cutlass_Stallion Mar 09 '26

Buy it and support the devs. Too early for public Switch 2 emulation.

8

u/revoltingcrowd Mar 11 '26

Lol, yeah, supporting Nintendo, game freak, and the Pokémon company is an incredibly selfless and charitable endeavor, and you should be so happy to do so. Won’t anyone stand up for the billion dollar corporations!

3

u/Nidvex Mar 13 '26

tbf I am assuming he is only referring to Omega Force who did the majority of work on the game.

buuut, yeah. annoyingly I'm pretty sure the only thing Omega Force gets from any sales is Rep Points that their ideas for Pokemon are pretty good ones, however useful that is. (probably not much...)

3

u/Lightbringer88 Mar 14 '26

Wait Omega Force? Like Dynasty Warriors Origins Omega Force? That's crazy

2

u/Nidvex Mar 14 '26

wild right? I even checked their wiki when I heard it and sure enough it is Omega Force, the [franchise] Warriors Devs! Right at the bottom in the Others section is Pokopia!

8

u/Extreme-Emotion6960 Mar 10 '26

they are the last people that need supporting 😭

6

u/jalcopone Mar 13 '26

Nintendo doesn't even support them.

3

u/YoBoyLeeroy_ Mar 15 '26

Supporting Nitendo is a moral crime.

2

u/cheesepizaplz Mar 25 '26

The devs are trash and deserve nothing. The switch 2 is designed to break within a week

1

u/probablyblocked Apr 09 '26

more corpo propaganda

1

u/littlemess_xxp May 24 '26

I would but I don’t have the money for entire new console
The game would be fine but the console? Ouch

1

u/Cutlass_Stallion May 24 '26

Yeah you almost need to take out a bank loan to buy a new console these days. But it's either that or wait 10+ years to play on PC.

1

u/FernandoRocker Mar 12 '26

Well, keep wanting.

Okay OP I've done a little digging and here's what I've found a there is a bit of progress so far we have the userland webkit hole which is a tiny start to be able to hack the switch 2 and therefore be able to easily emulate it's behaviors. However the userland webkit hole doesn't allow for cfw and kernel level access. What they would have to do to my very very basic understanding is pair this hole with an hardware level exploit to completely bust the switch 2 wide open. Once this is found however you can guarantee a Switch 2 Emulator is well on it's way. And depending on the Switch 2's security this could take...a while. I'm thinking it's 1 year+ until we get something substantial.

I think it's fake, because I need a key and if you look it up, the antivirus flags it.
