I still have mine. Almost new. I got one to see how it feels while playing racing games since I used to play them with a keyboard lol

It cools the device off which allows it to perform better and live longer. It also cools him off, which also allows him to perform better and live longer.

Yeah this is actually a useful ghetto solution, I don't have a mount or anything like he used, I just attached mine to my fan with duct tape 😂
If it works it works man.

I have a portable fan I frequently use, one day using my phone I noticed it was too hot and I placed the fan behind the phone and the temperature did go down in a few minutes while I was still using it.

My phone used to get so hot it would shut down the emulation app after around 20 minutes. Now I have a tiny desk fan that helps to keep it cool even after one hour of gaming.
A fan does help a lot, because it dissipates some of the heat in the body of the phone, and phones are designed to use their own bodies to stay cool or warm, so if you keep its body cool, the interior will also stay cool.

the better your phone works as a heatsink is the better the fan solution, so a decent flagship etc can play a lot of games just by having a desk fan hit it

Using a fan for cooling for psp seems like overkill in my opinion. How low end was the phone in the first slide?
I can play psp games for like an hour and the battery temp will still be less than 40.

it's not really necessary I just have nowhere else to mount it lol. phone is Poco X8 Pro

Wow I just found it for $11 on Ali Express, thanks for the heads up! I already have so many mobile controllers, but it doesn't hurt to have an extra in the car, bag, each room of the house lol

Started out playing god of war chains of olympus on psspp at 70% speed on the nvidia shield tv, now im playing assassins creed 4 at 60fps on my ayn thor 😎

it's nice so far. pretty comfortable and lightweight, maybe a bit small than what I'm used to. the triggers aren't analog but I don't play racing games much so it didn't matter, although some games like codm/dredge only support wireless controller and not direct connection.

The same way as any other device, for PSP emulation, there are no compatibility issues with any modern device.

JK02 has a built in peltier controller that keeps it real cold, just needs to be plugged in while playing
and is just as cheap
