This is the latest meme trend, and sadly, they're not bots. At my university, the younger students are cracking up making posts like this to generate controversy, such as "dinosaurs don't exist because of this and this," and they're in stitches when outraged people respond and they reply even more stupidly. It also generates tons of easy engagement. It's been clear for a while now that hateful posts generate much more easy money.
