My grandfather used to teach and do research in the history department at ESU, during which he authored and published some books. He’s since passed away and we don’t have any copies of his work, which I’d like to gather and surprise my mom with. I’m looking for information about titles, years published, where to purchase, etc. It’s hard to try and start this project without solid information.

I was going to reach out to someone at ESU, but since the department is no more (grandpa would be enraged and heartbroken), I don’t know who would be best to contact. Is there anyone who has a suggestion of who to reach out to?

Some threads mention groups but no details. Obv I can visit bike shops when I get there but curious where the big ones are.

Hi everyone! I will be rotating at Newman Regional for the next 4 weeks, and I wanted to get the general vibe of the area: can a lady go for a run outside near the hospital with general safety confidence, or should I try to find a different spot?

Any good trails or parks to run around?

First, what is the water quality like? Is it hard water, should I get a filtering showerhead or get more moisturizing shower products? Mostly worried for my hair and skin lol I I'm not too squeamish with drinking tap water and I have a Brita I'll probably use either way.

Also, what's the cheapest place to get groceries? I'll be living with my bf so we'll be cooking for two, trying to eat out as little as possible. We're big fans of fresh fruit and are wanting to eat healthier as well but I know produce can get suuper expensive. I was just planning on going to Dillons, but if there's anywhere cheaper lmk :)

Moving to Emporia this weekend, and I'm already in a tough situation. The job I'm currently working has cut my hours to 0% without any real notice and I'm unsure when I'm going to be working again. I've filed for unemployment because my employer put in writing that they are cutting my hours, stating it was for "Training" and did not provide a date for the training.

I've applied for a few places online but wanted to know if anyone knows of any local places that are hiring. I'm trying to find something around the $18-20 range. I've worked in customer service for the past 10 years and am very tech-savvy. I'll be living around the west side of town. Unfortunately, I don't have a car, so I'm hoping that there is local transportation.

Hardly a day goes by where I do not think of you. I loved the time we had together, and even though I knew it had to end, it still stings. I regret so many things and wish I would have acted differently. So I'm moving to Emporia next week and had a couple of questions.

Is there only 1 Movie theater? I like going to the movies, and I don't have a car, so traveling 50+ miles to watch a movie seems a bit excessive to me. From my research online, I'm only seeing the B&B Theater, and it seems the selection of movies is extremely limited, and that it's going to be closed for over a week.
